We haven't fished as much as we would like the past several years due to a variety of reasons but we hope to fish more this coming year! The real fun begins in May. Nearshore halibut and kings off whiskey gulch. Hit me up on facebook Rudy Tsukada. Let's fish!

@@RudyT right on, sounds great. I currently studying on what kayak I’m going for. I’m stuck on the Old town 13’ or the Hobie Pro Angler 14’. Lots to look at but big gap in price range. I’m a heavy guy so I want to be comfortable also.

Great video man. I’m planning a trip to Alaska in a couple years to try and get on some Halibut.

Thanks! Halibut is a lot of fun here in Southcentral Alaska off of a kayak because we tend to find them super shallow. Often in less than 30ft of water.

Fantastic video. I bought a Pro Angler 14 which is coming next month and I hope to learn and catch kings and halibut. I live in the Valley and I get down to the Kenai several times each summer. I really want to do the Barbie Fishing event this summer. Thanks. Gene

Hey nice fishing rudy. I love all of your fishing videos. I hope to get enough gear to go out and fish this 2018 summer.

I love your videos. I was wondering if you have any advice when deciding between a hobbie pro angler vs a hobbie outback?

Thanks! Boy that is a tough one. For me it comes down to transport ability. I can get two outbacks on top of my Civic or Tacoma and get to a fishing spot without hauling around trailers. Also I am 52 and a professional desk jockey. lol. At the end of the day, I don't want to be pulling a larger, heavier kayak up the beach. The pro angler is an awesome platform. More comfortable, easier to stand on, and amazingly not much slower if any than the outback. The outback is easier to self recuse from. The outback is easier to deal with a decent sized fish since it is lower to the water as well. The outback is slightly better in the surf simply because the PA is a bigger boat. I think if I were younger, I would seriously consider the PA over the outback but many of my launches the vehicle can be within 50 yards of the water but over a fairly steep gravel beach. Conversely, if I didn't have issue with hauling a trailer (I hate winter driving with a trailer so I don't like it) and most of my launches were from a vehicle accessible launch like a boat ramp, I would get the PA. I hope that helps a little bit.
