So glad you took the plunge and thanks for the questions reference mine. I cannot wait to see your thoughts and direct comparisons to the other top hyper sport bikes that you have. The Aprilia, once you've bedded her in a little will reward you ten fold. Nothing and I repeat nothing I have owned to date handles as good as this. Turn-in and corner speed is where the rest are left wanting and OMG that V4 punch and sound....I will let you discover that for yourself. Any criticisms you may come across are from people who have never run or owned one of these. Aprilia does not have the PR or press pushers like the other manufacturers and it is almost the best kept secret. Enjoy your RSV4 RF and get the Austin Racing can on there as soon as possible. +650ib don't forget that Aprilia should supply the V4 Multimedia App for your Android device whereby you can visit a whole host of screens and sample bespoke track settings for the bike wherever Aprilia Racing have gathered race data. Pretty amazing stuff really as it will adjust all the electronic settings on a corner by corner basis on a selected race track to give you the optimum settings for any given corner and straight via GPS.

Mine is #076. Will be watching to see what you do to yours. 'R' for Race is actually interesting - it has next to no engine braking. 'S'port has more engine braking, 'T'rack cuts the two. Sport actually is probably the best street mode because the throttle is very direct whereas the Track and Race modes actually lower throttle response at lower throttle inputs - which is good for the track for finding and holding steady throttle without upsetting the chassis at max corner speed. I almost boned a car with mine in 'R'ace in the city. Silly but it works incredibly on the track. Just slam down gears and turn the bike in, it does what you tell it...

Bought the new bike man. Surprised myself though, went a 2014 RSV4 Factory rather than the new RSV4RR. The 2014 was the bike that first attracted me to Aprilia's and when I saw one with only 1500kms on it, had to take it for a ride and absolutely loved it. Pick it up Friday.

+650ib 650, are you going to do a dyno run before and after your exhaust upgrade? I'm curious for this info since I haven't seen much in the way of increases on this bike with aftermarket exhausts. In fact, many I've seen have lost power even with race ecu's. It would be interesting to see a stock run, a run with the new pipe with stock tune and then the final tune. All done on the same day with the same dyno and same correction factor- ex: sae or std on all runs so their is no dyno trickery. Aprilia has this bike tuned pretty well from what I've seen, but your first hand experience will be invaluable.

+Apriliaguy4life 1 Hi there. I'd LOVE to do that but the only dyno facility that's close is booked up for weeks. I've read about the OEM tuning and you're right, it's darn near flawless and there isn't much to gain from the slip on exhaust. I'm doing it for looks and improved sound. I should have it on next week.
