listen to this 10 times...play just the accent pattern thinking about it as a rhythm and then its just muscle memory.

It's 11 16th notes per measure. So you could think of it like 2/4 plus 3 extra 16th notes. 1e&a2e&a3e&, the tricky part is that the 1 comes back in on where the "a" of 3 would be.

@@sozzysucks Yeah, well you don't really have to count every note. As long as you understand what's happening with the timing mentioned above, and how that transfers into the writing, you'll be fine.

Muscle memory. No counting. Lots of reps until is becomes second nature.

Think about 3/4 with one less 16th note. Up to tempo, it can be a bit tough, but tap a foot to it enough times and it'll start making sense.
