During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHANNEL SEE BELOW: In this channel you will find in depth educational videos of automobiles from all over the world, presented in a more detailed fashion than ever before. This gives the viewer the chance to view the most detailed 1st person look you can get without seeing it in person. Every video is consistent in the way I present so viewers know what to expect. I treat every vehicle with the same respect regardless of the year and pricepoint. I film all types of vehicles from the past, present, and future while broadening the knowledge of the automotive enthusiast. You will see everything from vintage, brand new, exotic, mainstream, old, etc. I am very proud of this channel and have built it up from amateur videos years ago to what you see today. I wanted to share my love for the automotive world with the rest of the world. Be sure to explore the massive video variety, have fun and enjoy The Driver's Seat of KZbin!

+Skytoucher Saturn was actually the US Opel before. In fact, because of Saturn's death (RIP), they were going to make what people call a ''Vue-ick'', (that is, a Buick version of an Opel Antara, also known as Saturn Vue).

Even with the heated seats and wheel… Too many electric gimmicks to my taste, but it looks good thought for the show. Thanks Kyle for the dream. One thing, how a car can drive so well on a perfect road ? Whithout independent suspension in the back in 2016… It must be MAGICAL !

Such as every Opel/Buick in the last five years, the Cascada has to fight with its weight, when it is compared to its competitors (3-series convertible, A4/A5 convertible...). I can only speak for germany, where a lot of drivers prefer to buy it with the 2.0 CDTI (so a Diesel) with 195 hp and a 6-Speed manual. With 400 Nn of torque, it makes a lot of fun, it really goes forward at low rpms. The new Opel Astra just released (don't know what is the Buick equivalent) really does big steps forward, especially in the infotainment system used, its conectivity, weight and engine specs.
@joaparviainen9098
@joaparviainen9098 8 жыл бұрын
Buick doesn't have equivalent for Astra, because hatchbacks aren't that popular in USA. But I totally agree, the new Opel Astra is big step up in quality.
@Nagstrr23
@Nagstrr23 8 жыл бұрын
+Joa Parviainen An Astra sedan would not look great, i guess. The new Astra Station Wagon and the facelifted Insignia Station Wagon look great, though. And what makes Opel and Vauxhall a serious and successfull competitor on the european market is the price-quality ratio and stability of their value. My first car ever was a 2000 Opel Corsa B. Not very eye-catching, rather ugly, but it did a great job and was so practically in the city.
@joaparviainen9098
@joaparviainen9098 8 жыл бұрын
+Nagstrr23 I think Buick is planning to bring Opel Insignia Country Tourer to USA market. Not sure though. But yeah, the quality of Opels has increased. I drive currently 2008 Vectra C. Great car and reliable too!
@joansaldana3002
@joansaldana3002 8 жыл бұрын
+Nagstrr23 The Astra here is the Verano sedan, and Insignia is the Regal sedan. Mokka is the Encore. They might bring over the Adam. I would like for them to bring over the Corsa and Karl. And in return, they should give Europe an Opel LaCrosse and an Opel Enclave.
@Nagstrr23
@Nagstrr23 8 жыл бұрын
Joan Saldana And not to mention that they might fullfil a lot of wishes when they release the OPC/VXR version of the Astra and Insignia on the North American market. And a new and better Opel GT will also be released in the next three years.

@AgentAndroid
@AgentAndroid 8 жыл бұрын
No, Opel use to be known in America until the 70s but their "safety and emissions" laws don't allow Opel and others like Škoda, Peugeot, Citröen, etc. from selling in the US. Of course these laws are BS because all these cars are very safe and good with emission. It's just an excuse for GM (partly owned by the gov) and Ford to sell their shitty overpriced cars. If those European cars were allowed on US soil, NO ONE would even look at GM or Ford and they'd be out of business. Sad but true.

I was wondering go Buick got around the legality of the taillights. The USA doesn’t allow a car to have brake lights or turn signals on a moveable piece of bodywork...like the cascadas trunk. So the tails and turns under the lid are like a loophole I guess. Interesting

GM just sold opel so Europe should get ready for American cars coming your way. GM realized they could sell the opel name and start focusing on US brands. Like chevy and Cadillac. Will be an interesting ride and will surely lead to improved quality considering how upmarket Germany is.

Nice car, I like it. I think Buick is being realistic about what this car will do. They've said they don't expect to sell huge numbers of this, but they do expect it to turn some heads and entice younger buyers. The Buick VP has said they only plan on selling this for a few years and that possibly when it's time to discontinue it they will build a production Avista to replace it. I'm please with Buick, they knew they needed to change up their image and show people that they're not just an old folks brand. They are coming up with some exciting new models.

Interesting that you consider it to be sporty; the Cascada was taken by critics to be pretty heavy and cumbersome - more of a GT car. I'm in the UK though, so perhaps the Cascada variants are tuned differently.

The car is a Buick Reatta for 2016. Buick has (had) the chance to create a boulevard cruiser that can also have sports car characteristics. Instead they go with a small engine & FWD with heavy steel AND rely on their parts/chassis bin for the car (like the Reatta). While I don't doubt it will be a reliable car, full of technology and a great ride (like the Reatta), it's demise is forthcoming. Why? Because Buick doesn't know how to market the car properly.

I first saw a "seat butler" in the Mercedes W126 series. Specifically, they appeared on the SEC sometime in the '80s. Thought they were very cool. BMW offered a much clumsier interpretation on the E92 and E93 series.

I could never see a guy driving this car. It looks too soft, has a terrible power to weight ratio, and for the performance is pathetic. But if the interior is nice and it's convertible so moms will love it

I DON'T UNDERSTAND why when before fading out Pontiac GM already had the technology for retractable hardtop convertible and is not available in the Cascada? I'll stick to my VW.

Does anyone know why both the speedometer a rev meter hands go to max and then back to 0? At 01:32. I've seen other cars do that but don't know why, would be nice for someone to explain :)

Another excellent video! Here in Germany we have the Cascada since a couple of years, you mentioned it in the video. But I think in America the car seems to be small:)

How many roof colors are available in America? In Europe the Cascada has beige, tan, maroon and black as options. Also there are many different body color options. I think this is very important in a car like this.

+Argantonis That's quite cool, I think they only offer one here, as far as I've seen.

Already watched this video five years ago when this was sold brand new. Sad to say one could hardly find nice, affordable convertibles derived from mainstream sedans these days. Sure, convertible versions of pony cars, German premium cars and other sports cars are cool, there’s that unexplained charm of getting something like this Cascada.🥺

The only difference is badging so if I get one I would honestly buy some Opel badges off eBay and put them on the car and just say I had an Opel imported

So this model had remote start, but no push button start on the dash? Why?
@Stressless2023

+kma198199 What's wrong with that? Remote start is convenient, it doesn't have to go hand-in-hand with push-button start.
