4 means it has the optional NPP exhaust which sounds better and has those valve controls. The one with the standard 2 does not have this.

Currently in the Camaro,corvette technician. Been repairing cars and racing since 1988. I purchased eibach pro street kit shocks,springs, and sway bars. Aftermarket is cheaper and better than what factory provides. Sorry you have little automotive knowledge. Got the track pack with the car 2012 left over for 28,000. Loaded 2016 Ss is going for 43,000. Big price difference and my car is lighter and faster than the new Ss.

Your car is NOT lighter and faster stock vs stock. You are one of the worst Ford trolls I've ever seen. Stock 2011-2014 5.0s run 12.7 at best. Manual 2016 SS runs 12.3 off the factory line. 12.0 for the auto. The new Camaros are really making you boys scratch your heads, aren't they?

+Darren McFeaters Chevy has the manual listed SS at 3,685Ibs. Where are you getting you numbers from? The 2016 is 223Ibs lighter than the 2015 SS. And they are indeed running 12.3s and better stock. The 2016 Mustang GT is slower in the straights than last gens Mustang(Last time I've checked, they could have gotten faster I don't keep up enough to know). I've noticed that a lot since the changes. They better'd the handling but sacrificed straight line performance. Which for some is a good thing. Also comparing your older Stang to a brand new 2SS is a terrible comparison. To get what the SS has in a new GT wouldn't be that big of a price difference. Hell just to add the 3.73 final drive you'd have to add the performance package(which is standard on the 2ss) that's almost $2500 right there, pricing from a premium GT, that puts it at about $40k(2k less than the 2SS) add in the 401A package that offers BLIS as well as a better speaker system and parking assist(all available on the 2SS) and that puts the price at $41.585 compared to 42k that's not a big difference. Base model for Base model not a discussion. Both cars are great, don't get me wrong. But chevy stepped up to the plate in a VERY big way this time around. The camaro is putting down Corvette Stingray numbers, dropped a lot of weight. Got better in handling whilst keeping the price at a decent value. That's just my 2 cents. Interested to see the new ZL1 and or even the new Z28 which are still dominating. How's the new GT350R compared to the 15' Z28?

Andrew tran I had a Nissan Quest that was a lemon. Even if the coverage is 5 years and 100k miles, it's still MY TIME spent going to the dealer early before work, getting a shuttle ride to work, then leave work early to get a ride back to the dealer. It is A LOT of hassle and a waste of my time. And if it's in the shop for more than that day, I'd have to incur the cost of a rental car. So I got rid of the Nissan for a Toyota and guess what, NO MORE trips to the dealer to fix stupid things. I love Toyota quality.

They are doing amazing deals right now on 5th gens because of the 6th gen being released. When you stack on crazy sales and rebates, the value of a car takes a hit. Whenever a new gen comes out, the old gen can take a hit. With that being said, my '14 1LE was $40k. Took it off the lot and it lost $4,400 immediately. Add another year of use and it's down to private party of $30k with the 14,000 miles I have on it. I don't see that as crazy depreciation.

+Rob Fassi I personally feel like they messed up the design they chose for the SS and 2SS. I feel the basic models have the nicer front end, because of the vertical fog lights. That design should have gone to the SS and 2SS. Just my thought, but I hate when lights have a huge plastic trim around them. Such as the fogs on the SS/2SS.

Suggestions: I own a 2015 limited wrx with 6000miles, originally is was 34K and I only owe like 4,000 on it. Should I trade for 2016 SS? Im only averaging like 19mpg right now in my wrx so it wouldnt be THAT big a difference. I know when you buy these cars the fuel economy shouldn't really be in question, but this would be a DD and mostly city driving.

+Jeremy That's a tough one. You would probably get similar MPG, but you would loose much more money on the trade then you would ever make up for in any gas savings. If you like the SS more than the WRX and want a Coupe, then go for it! If you like the 4 doors, and don't want to spend a lot of money, then stick with the Subi. The WRX is a pretty fun car

Ewie M I have always like the pony wars but I agree Ford may step up there game.But bear in mind they have reach the limits to what the structure of the current mustang can handle.The older 88 mustangs had a stronger body to handle the 351.
