The fact that you didn't stop looking after finding that hose disconnected shows the quality of a mechanic that you are, great job homie.

Homie, you totally helped me fix my Colorado! I had a P0174 that caused a Check Engine light, and was about to make an appt to see the dealer tomorrow, when I found your video trying to debug this myself. And sure enough, in my 2020, I found a vacuum related hose that had fallen off, right underneath that big plastic engine cover. I knew to look for it, because I used TorquePro app, and an old OBDII BT transmitter I happened to have around from years ago. And I saw the Fuel Trim levels were doing just like what you showed in the video! Anyway, I snapped on the tube (it was never on all the way due to a retaining clip probably that made it need some force to snap on), watched the Long Term Fuel Trim go back under 10%, and then removed battery from the system for a few minutes, reattached +12V to battery, started car, and Code was resolved, Check Engine light off, test drive good>> SO thanks!

Thanks for this video. That was the problem I've had for a while and it was JUST that hose. Engine light went off by itself after I reconnected the hose. THANK YOU!!

Followed this video to a T and found the top hose you first found was disconnected AND my fuel purge canister valve was defective because had suction on it. Thanks! Ordered a new one, Hopefully those two fixes helps with the terrible performance of my canyon!

@@HomieHektor the trucks way more responsive now, I find it actually finds a gear and downshifts easier, before it would sit in 5th gear when doing 25 mph and almost stalled anytime I gave it some gas to accelerate. Thanks!

You get a subscribe for this one. Had my 16 Colorado serviced for the HVAC blend door/actuator 2 days ago. Check engine popped up today with the same codes. Looked under the hood, and there it was.. disconnected hose. Now i need to figure out why they pulled the engine cover off.

Thank You!!! I got the P171/174 as well. Turns out I had a different but similar hose disconnect from a loose clamp. Exemplary job/video that pointed me in the right direction

This hose was not connected on my 15 gmc canyon. I reconnected it, still has the engine light on. If that solved it, should the light go off on its own or does it need cleared? Truck was also stumbling a bit on acceleration at 20-40 mph. Hope this fixes it, thanks for the video. Very informative.

Awesome Video - Thanks! Was getting same Codes on my '15 Canyon, did not know where to start, same Hose was popped off. Figure happened after getting my Oil Cooler Lines replaced (which I was not keen to tackle)...

Hoping this will be the fix for me. Found the same exact hose disconnected. Will have to drive it a bit for things to reset, but I'm hopeful it worked! Either way, I completely missed looking for that hose being disconnected and this video brought that to my attention. Thank you for this video.

Now I know why tire discounters quoted me $270 to replace the spark plugs in my 2016 Colorado. Dealer price was over 400! Because they have to takeoff that cover as well as the intake to get to one stinking plug.

Hello Hector, How do you like the Autel scan tool? Napa loaned one to my shop for a week or so, I tried it a few times and I couldn't really get the hang of it. Have you had experience with it compared to a Snap-On scanner. How do you feel about it? I did just go back to the snap-on scanner but the Autel's still catch my eye and have me intrigued for certain....
@HomieHektor4 жыл бұрын
Team2na I own the Snap-on Verus but then shop has an Autel. There’s been times when the Autel comes through when the Verus can’t. Like everything else it takes time to get used to it, but IMO It’s a great scanner. If I didn’t have the Verus i would’ve bought the Autel 🤙🏼
@xtraCreamcheese4 жыл бұрын
@@HomieHektor Is there an Autel you would suggest as a "do it all" but no BS Scanner? I dont need anything unnecessary, but I wouldn't want to be under-equipped.

hey dude great video! I have a 2016 Colorado 3.6L and I just had the adventure of changing the spark plugs. lol dumbest design ever! why chevy didn't shift the throttle body over to the drivers side 1 1/2"-2" I will never understand. To take the front passenger side spark plug out you have to remove the intake plenum.

Hello i have a question, i have the same codes and i don’t see any hoses that aren’t connected, but i went to check that purge valve because i can hear a hiss from time to time and i heard the purge valve hissing and i took off the same hose you did and it like got air and turned off, do you think that maybe the problem?
