If you hit the 22mm drain plug with a 12 oz hammer a couple times it will break loose easily don’t need the impact

Great video! Just so everyone is clear who comes here like I did do NOT use anything but Detroit oil. It’s just not worth it. They are not all equal and they’re very specific about their oils. Their oil you know will work. I have read all over the internet about shops that used some other oil and it didn’t end well. Spray the big plug with PB blaster first because it will be stuck. The slippery Pete pump for gallons on Amazon fits Detroit one gallon bottles. They say to use a new washer on the plugs and check plugs but they don’t come in the kit. Only the big plug and washer are in the kit so reuse the small ones.

@@cascadia7244 400k if GVW is more than 80k till 120k If you haul under 80k is 600k miles PS anyways 400k should be an excellent practice for oil change 🛢

Ahh ok. I haul under 80k so 600k miles for me on the transmission fluid change. But on the oil I change it every 30k miles and change fuel filters every 15k miles. 400k on the oil change is way too long. Where are you getting the 400k miles on the oil change from?

250k ish. All relative to what you would haul. We haul light PnD so once a year is what we aim for.

There is no dipstick. Level the truck take off screening tap, insert the finger through it. The oil level should be in line with lower point in screen hole.

They all hex. You will need only the 2 hex I describe in the beginning. At least they were like this on my transmission
