Hey man thank you for this video I happen to have this car for two 2years now am tired of this stock sound. Am on the same situation as everyone else want the V8 sound out of a V6. I got way too much drone with the pypes street pro, but i didnt buy the full catback as it didnt include resonators like borla or jpipes like solo. I wanted to try solo ended up with the Atak. Still waiting on the carbon build up so that the sound gets deeper like in these vids

I have the same question as stated by Zarek. I currently have a 2016 Challenger SXT (V6 3.6L) as well and I could not decide whether to get the S Type or ATAK Borla Exhaust. I know i will never get the same sound as a V8 but I definitely still do not want my car to sound like a lawnmower when I pass by. Love your video . It puts me at ease knowing that the S-Type sounds really good but I wonder if the ATAK would be too excessive.

Is this the full catback system? Currently I have my resonators deleted, and was debating just throwing on the S Type or ATAK mid mufflers to get a little more of a deeper growl, especially at higher RPMs. The ending from the down revs kind of sounded a little raspy honda like, but the up rev during the drive by sounded incredible.

PLEASE let me know if you removed the resonators or not. I intend to lease the V6 all wheel drive and swap the system out until I bring it back, but I don't want the removal of the resonators to possible damage the engine. Thank You.

Ray, I took it to a mechanic to do the install. As far as what was done, I took my stock car to the mechanic, followed the instructions provided by Bora. The instruction can be found on Borla’s site when searching for the product. In general, if you’re looking for a full exhaust system replacement, which is what this is, I would figure everything is taken out and replaced with the Borla system. Maybe see if the mechanic will let you hold onto the old parts to make the switch back?

Hey Zarek, I'm 100% happy with S-Type. I wanted the ATAK too but I saw zero good 3.6L challengers with nice aftermarket exhaust systems and all the forums said it was because you couldn't get a good sound out of 3.6L challengers, only bumblebee in a tin can raspy waste of money exhausts. That in mind, I called the Borla, asked the same question you did and they put me on call with a technician and he told me straight up, the "ATAK is preeetty raspy. S-Type is way better. It won't sound like a V8 but it wouldn't definitely sound like bad ass V6". Pretty spot on assessment in my opinion. Hope the helps.

Joe Mazza I think they messed up installing the resonators or there is a leak in your exhaust. Did you take it to a pro muffler shop? It cost me $200 but I feel like it was worth it because of their experience with installing exhaust systems

The Borla S-type is a full cat-back replacement, meaning it replaces everything after the catalytic converter including the pipes and yes the mid muffler.

In the beginning I didn’t like the raspy sound between 2,700 and 4,500 rpms. Totally got better though. No rasp inside. That said, see if you have someone rev the engine and stand behind the car. The exterior sound should actually be good. The exterior gets better too btw. After a month check it out.
