Always nice to see support for the v6 owners as you said not everyone wants a v8 or can afford one. If they love the car that's all that matters. Its pretty pathetic when others knock them for it.
@dk64194 жыл бұрын
@@fernanwoodson9928 guess what by your statement you are judging. It has nothing to do with wanting a v8 if someone wants to modify their v6 the can its theirs to enjoy. If they want to try and go extreme if they can so be it.
@dk64194 жыл бұрын
@@fernanwoodson9928 again its what the owner wants if they are into v6s and they want to do it they can. Its not something I would do personally but I support someone regardless. When you modify a vehicle regardless of the type or engine and you go to resell majority of the time you will not make a return on all the upgrades that include v8s.

@@fernanwoodson9928 I know the differences as well. I was in automotive photography and have road tested cars from hondas to high end porsches and so on. @Ryzenberg784 жыл бұрын
@@fernanwoodson9928 Your comment is incorrect. I have a V6 because I wanted an AWD GT. AWD isn't offered with the V8. AWD was more important for me. I don't regret it either. With intake, exhaust, tune I'm around 330HP with AWD. If the AWD had a V8 option then maybe I would consider it, but the Pentastar is a solid motor with potential.
@Ryzenberg784 жыл бұрын
@@fernanwoodson9928 If anything I would do the RIPP. But honestly, at the point I'm at, it's got plenty of power. I was intrigued by the throttle body and intake manifolds too though. I have seen a naturally aspirated Pentastar put 330+ to the rear wheels though, which is RT numbers. I however do love the sound of the 5.7L Hemi. Just a note, you can do the Hellcat lower intake box, headlight pass through and K&N for like $150. That's what I have done with a Scalia MS Diablo ring to accent it. Air temps are consistently at or only a few degrees above ambient with this setup. Only climbing when sitting or in real heavy traffic. Combine that with the options of Magnapacks, Bullets or any of the other weld on muffler options and you are way under the $1500 mark for a few horses and better sound. The tune will set you back a bit though.

Liked the video. I usually watch your videos to learn more about the V8's cause I hope one day I can finally transition from the SXT to a Shaker model but at the same time I'd still rather lean towards the GT for the AWD capability. Here is to hoping that they will release a V8 AWD version cause if so then I guess I would be trading in again for sure. Was glad to see some love, even if just some small love though for the V6 Models and their mods that are out there though. I know there are at least two Facebook groups out there dedicated to the Pentastar V6 for sure. Love your Vids RacerX and the knowledge you put out here for all of us.

Good to know. If I were buying the GT it would be for the AWD since it's not offered in the V8's. I test drove a 2018 GT and it was great, however, no exhaust note in a Challenger just didn't seem right. I would be fine with it anyway. As for the mods, I would keep it to an exhaust upgrade - I would need proof the CAI would add HP before investing in it. Mainly like BeefBravo1257's comment. New GT's with decent options are just a few thousand under a RT with the same options.

V6s are awsome still in their own way . I had a Chrysler 300s v6 and a mustang v6 before I knew anything about engines and those cars were so badass to me and I'd get so many compliments plus they are quick . Now I have a 2022 Rt charger but I still appreciate the v6 . If it makes you happy buy it !

However, my brother moved on to repairing the mechanisms of large/huge equipment, but of course he's still great with autos.) I learned much from you today about my 2020 Dodge Charger GT. I drove a rental challenger sxt which has v6 on it and I couldn’t explain how fast that car was. I know v8 is more powerful and faster but omg a v6 is more than enough for you if you want to go fast in your daily drive and it’s affordable . 305 HP is not “low”. My Toyota Avalon 1995 has 120 hp and it flies , imagine a challenger v6 with 305 hp. Love your v6, I wish I had one :)

Shout out to the v6 owners! Just bought a 2023 gt! I love it! It was between a older R/T with barley any options or this fully loaded brand new GT! I can’t afford a new one and honestly am not a speeder. Had a lot of accidents. I’m going to just look fast and let you guys speed past me 🤣🤣 I’ve always had luxury cars this is my first “muscle car” maybe I will upgrade in the future but I’m enjoying the HELL out of this v6. I tell people proudly it is a GT. I salute anybody that can afford a hellcat redeye or trackhawk or demon !! Nothing but respect. Even tho I feel some people have money but do not have the skill to control a powerful car like that because it is “popular” and end up crashing it or hitting something trying to do viral stuff or race! I’ve loved challengers for years!! And this is the last year they are making them so I figured I get the car but like I said I can’t afford the one I want it would trust myself with that much power 😂🤣

To anyone asking, the gt is basically a scat pack with a 3.6L engine. Give or take a few specifications. I’d recommend from experience the gt over the base any day! My best tip is just don’t buy a v6 dodge. Spring for the hemi you will be much happier, again speaking from experience. Edit: don’t get me wrong I absolutely love my v6. I’ve put almost 9k into it, and I beat the absolute piss out of it. Tank of a car. Not a bad car what so ever totally great car especially for a new car guy/ new driver.

with almost 400 pounds less weight than a 5.7 or 6.4 the Gt RWD will always handle better and with the 4 piston Brembos will suck your eyeballs out when you stab the pedal hard. Some basic upgrades like coils and fresh air, a good (Borla) exhaust and you'll have some good fun. If you REALLY want it to be a blast, swap in a 3.90 LSD and axles from a hemi car and hold on, because you're in for a helluva surprise. I did it in my previous 19 and it was a blast. The only drawback was that launching it from a standstill, it would rev limit in 1.st and 2nd before the trans could shift on it's own, so you have to practice. Getting on it from a roll was great. Now that you can get a trans tune done without breaking the bank, it's a great mod. I have another 19 GT now and have a 3.70 LSD I was able to find locally that I'll install when weather warms up some.

@@dimitriassession2327 I took a 13 srt 6sp manual for a test and it was a lot of fun. But gas now days you would have to fill up three times a week with a higher octane and new tires every six month if your really gonna drive it. Plenty of fun with the GT and cruise all week plus they look great and 20's fit perfectly. Kind of a HellCat Demon mix with extras to boot. I had the V8's in the early eighties when fuel, parts and wheels were decent. And white letter tires made any beat up car/truck look decent. Looking for them now and you get some crayon's. Going to give them a shot and see how they last.

And one thing I've wanted to ask any and all Challenger owners. Does your outer head lights have a V shaped haze or roughed look in the middle of them. Mine has them on both outers and that would not be put on a new vehicle without a purpose. I have seen what it does but want to know if others do. Another Possible Easter egg?
