2016 Dodge Charger Scat Pack - SRT Grille Emblem Swap

Alright alright, here is my installation video on my "up badging" from the scat pack emblem over to the SRT emblem. Personally to me this is not considered "up badging" as it has an SRT motor. The look of the scat pack emblem for me was too small and did not compliment the front end too well. Nonetheless, enjoy the video guys! :)

@@airwreck There is no Widebody SRT 392, along with the fact you won’t find any reasonably priced for under 20K miles, not to mention the car is too old to buy now if you’re jumping on. I guarantee you if they had an SRT 392 Widebody 2020 for 10K more I would’ve purchased it. Unfortunately the best deal was a 2020 Widebody challenger fully loaded, so I took it. Nothing wrong with changing the RT badge or any of that to SRT. The car is sprinkled with SRT shit, the engine bay POWERED BY SRT, the main scream yells SRT whenever you turn it off and on.

It’s not “sprinkled” with, the widebody scats are better cars with every feature of an SRT392. Same engine, transmission, brakes, perf pages, bigger wheels and tires, same suspension, etc. the SRT392 owners just want to feel special for driving the same car as scat pack owners, but I’m reality they’re paying more in insurance just for leather seats, which are the only feature in an SRT392 that isn’t available on a scat pack. Your car is better than any SRT392 made.

The scat pack can be considered an SRT vehicle because of the performance and power plant upgrades provided by SRT themselves. Dodge stayed with the original 'R/T' logo for historical purposes.

Fred Sherman the scat pack does have the active exhaust even the regular R/T 5.7 has that lol. If it has the dynamic package then it has the 6 piston brakes and bigger wheels and tires. The interior isn't any nicer just a flat bottom wheel. The only difference between my scat pack and an srt is the suspension that's it.

Not only that but the SRT 392 has the same exact engine as the Scat pack 392. The SRT comes standard with all the options that are optional with the Scat. So, more the less a fully loaded scat is the same exact car.

Why? Its almost identical to the SRT in every way that matters. You'd never notice the difference in the brake performance between the two, considering how massive they are on the scat pack. Scat Packs come with an available wheel upgrade which makes them the same as the SRT in specs. The SRT has a SOFTER suspension (thanks to being active) than the Scat Pack, but on the track they would produce the same times. The active-exhaust on the SRT doesn't add any horsepower. It should have been called the SRT Scat Pack IMO, since its more SRT than RT.

I have a 2019 Scat Pack and the only thing missing is the SRT badges on my steering wheel and seats. Everything else is practically on par with the now discontinued SRT392 including the adaptive suspension upgrade due to the dynamics package. When they discontinued the SRT392 Dodge made almost every option available for the 2019 Scat Pack to fill it's shoes given the fact that the two cars are mechanically almost identical. The people loosing it because of a few cosmetic upgrades now is ridiculous. It's the performance that matters not the interior upgrades. Those won't win you shit when it really matters.

Scat pack is an R/T not Srt. Yes its powered by Srt, but dont have the brakes, adaptive suspension and many other parts that makes in an SRT. It is like getting a red eye and calling it a demon because it has the exact same engine with different tuning. Red eye doesnt have the suspension, trans brake ect ect. Scat pack is still a bad ass car, but its not an SRT lol.

Thew widebody scats are bascially best of both worlds without being forced to have the SRT premiums. You can get a basic scat for cheap or the widebody with all the srt goodies except the steering wheel and leather. Still doesnt make it an SRT. Its just a newer car. Srt 392 were the last n/a srt's made. Only Srt's now are the hellcat and above.

Scats from 2019 onwards can get adaptive suspension via the dynamics package, which also comes with 6 piston brembos and 275 tires. They are the same car aside from leather seats, and cheaper insurance for the scat packs.

Unfortunately that part is not removable, it's part of the grill (check out the video at 2:36). I have a Scatpack and wanted to do a grill emblem delete too, but I think I think I'll follow suit and just slap an SRT badge on there. I thought about adding the SRT emblem and just cutting off the "S" and keeping the "RT" (mainly because the "RT" style lettering looks way better than the scatpack emblem), but there would be a blank space where the "S" is supposed to be. Who cares what people think. I just think the scatpack logo is ugly and corny looking (like a kid from elementary school drew it).

It’s not up badging. Upbadging is changing badges to make the car seem like it has higher performance than it already does. The scat pack is lighter and faster than the srt 392 buddy.
