Thank you for making this video. My husband and I purchased a used model just like this one today . It has only 51,000 miles and in excellent condition. The first owner serviced as well. I love this car. It is extremely comfortable . It only took $ 26.00 to fill up!!! I have been driving a BMW 740i for 12 years now. I have loved driving this car so very much. My family and I took several road trips in it and it drove like a smooth sail on the road. We started having transmission problems, computer issues, battery issues you name it the last five years. So we decided it was time to replace my car . Mama is happy with my choice . I will always remember the good days in my BmW but now to repair all that was needed would be at least $15,000. My Ford Escape makes me happy. We did good today with our purchase.

I bought mine yesterday. 2016 SE 1.6. In grey. I love it. It’s my 3rd generation escape. I had 07 limited Ed. 2011 limited Ed. . And now 16. I love them wouldn’t by any other model just for me and my dog. I love all the new features. And excited to driving it having fun. I’m a senior citizen living in Albert Canada. Even in winter 🥶 driving. 👍🏽 thank you. For showing me around. 👍🏽 just 47,500km

odd thing about my 2016. There is no switch to turn on interior lights. you have to push each one individually OR OPEN your door. Odd that there is no master switch for turning on all interior lighting.

Another report now that I’ve owned my 2016 Ford Escape for a little longer. I had to replace the battery. It took two of us one full hour to do so! Had to remove the windshield wipers, the “Drip tray” system, detach the power steering fluid reservoir. Remove the battery box covers. After putting all back together we were off just a couple-few gear teeth making one of the wipers hit the other wiper so a little trial and error.
@badapple657 жыл бұрын
Also. I drove it from Chicago area to Denver CO round trip last month. I only got 23 MPG on entire trip. The 75 mph speed limit across NE had me at cruise control about 83 most of the drive. I still would have hoped for high 20’s but nope.

@@badapple65 it's like that in my 2011 f250, buy it you hard press the top of the backlight button (that changes the dimness of your gear cluster and stuff, can't remember the name) it will turn all the lights on. Not sure if it's the same, I'm getting my escape today.

@@kaylajenai7 I really like it! This video was so very helpful. Just bought this car used, with 40,000 miles. The only things different is that my trunk isn't automatic and I don't have a sun roof. Hello , Mike Did you make a review video on the new 2016 Hyundai Tuscan ? I need to know your opinion > plus I didn't see your reply on my question about the best compacted SUV for me.. That was in my comment on the GMC Acadia video if you recall.. pls respond
@MikesCarInfo9 жыл бұрын
+asadalbadia I haven't found a decent Hyundai dealer to work with. I replied to your previous comment yesterday on the Acadia video however now you are changing the parameters in this comment with the addition of 'compact' SUV'. So now it is a COMPACT SUV, fuel efficient, Off-Road capable, for under $35,000? I guess it depends on how much off-road capability you need... Maybe a Subaru Outback or a Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk?
@asadalbadia36039 жыл бұрын
Thanks Mike , but my friend recommends a Toyota( Land Cruiser ) Prado , what do you think ? and by the way , most of my journey to work is on pavement , but at the end I must go off road to reach the site , about 2 KM of sand and gravel roads , Little bit of bumps here and there . I forgot to mention that I found a dealer that can provide a trim level for the Prado for 43960 American dollars . which is above my 35000 dollars . If I decide to buy it , then I would have to pay my 35000 plus 1500 dollars monthly installments , according to the dealer .

The 2016 Ford Escape started at $23,100 for the base S trim level, $25,300 for the SE trim, and $29,150 for the top-of-the-line Titanium. Of course this is late 2023 so you would have to find a used one at a different price.

I'm looking to by an SUV, and all Escapes with AWD have the Ecoboost engine. I won't buy another Turbo, so I guess it's going to be a Toyota RAV4, although I wish you could still get the V6. My sister in-law's 04 Escape V6 awd, has over 360,000 miles and still going, you won't see any Ecoboost engine reach those miles, with just a fuel pump replacement. Thanks to the government, long lasting engines are a dying breed.
@R777-RLM8 жыл бұрын

@rontaviussnipes30218 жыл бұрын
Why do say engines won't last long?
@R777-RLM8 жыл бұрын
+rontavius snipes To compensate for the appropriate sized engine for the vehicle, smaller Turbo engines are being used, resulting in increased cylinder combustion temperatures, increased combustion pressure, which decrease engine longevity. Also replacement of the turbo is at least a 1,000 dollars plus labor. I own a turbo charged car which has been excellently maintained, and it's cost over 5,000 dollars in maintenance and many repairs in just 76,000 miles. Some engines are better than others, but do the research, most auto mechanics and technicians agree.
@rontaviussnipes30218 жыл бұрын
Dang, thanks for breaking it down like that. I have a 2004 Nissan Altima and have fixed anything you can think of on that P.O.S. so i'm looking to upgrade but I value your feedback and agree with you on some points
