THANK YOU! 3 Ford dealerships and currently at a 4th and they always call and say they don’t hear anything…you can ALWAYS hear it! One tried to tell me it was the fuel pump about to go bad and I should replace it immediately. As soon as I heard the noise on your video, I said THAT’S IT! I knew immediately. I’m going to see if I can send your video to the Ford dealership. I’m not sure if I could find it or I would do it myself.

I've searched long, far and hard. I was thinking maybe turbo wastegate? I knew for sure it wasn't phasers. Then I found this, started the truck and got down there for a gander. What would you know, this was the exact problem!! Thank the lord I found this I was going crazy.

Same issue on my 2017. Thought it was the wastegate in the turbo going bad, then thought it was the power side step vibrating. ended up being that stupid simple fuel line having a party on the gas tank. Just moved the clip to the EVAP hose where it put a little tension on it, problem fixed for now.

Thank you. Dealer wanted $1200 to lower fuel tank and replace plastic clip. My truck is also still under factory warranty. This is not covered as it is a “wear” item. My Toyota is much older and has seen 3x the miles and has never had stupid little quality issues like this. Lesson learned.

Wow $1200. This issue comes into the dealer a lot. I would only charge the 1 hour of diag time to fix the problem.

@@neighborhoodmechanic3822 they did change me $175 to diagnose a problem that should be covered under warranty. I'm done with Ford junk. There is a good reason why a Ford is no longer the best selling vehicle in USA. Its because of garbage quality issues like this. My Toyota has never been to the dealership for warranty work or near as many safety recalls as my Ford.

What year is your navigator/expedition? I do them in a lift but for this one in the video, I crawled under the truck

@@neighborhoodmechanic3822 it’s a 2016 limited it rattled just like your video but I just don’t seen any hose or lines like that when I get down under it (without lifting it) I’m in the middle of the car?

I just watched my video and noticed that I didn't do a good job of showing how to get to the fuel line. When under the vehicle, you will see the black fuel tank and a black box in front of the fuel tank. Between the black box and the fuel tank are EVAP and fuel lines. The fuel line that I'm referring to in the video is up in that area. It's on top of the front of the fuel tank.
