Don't think he ever drove a Explorer for any distance. The paddle shifters work in automatic. It's the most comfortable car I even driven. 5500 miles in a week was a dream

I am planning to buy ford explorer 2016, but I have a serious concern ( the exhaust leak in the cabin with high rpm and on AC ) which was appears in the models from 2011 to 2016 and food did nothing about it. Yesterday, 01/03/23, I test drove a 2016 Explorer XLT. It has just over 100k miles. Someone told me that the Ford 3.5 motors are notorious for bad water pumps. If I move forward with the purchase, how many more miles could I drive before I could expect to have to replace the water pump?

The instrument cluster is disappointing. Not even a tach. Would rather have gauges than idiot lights. the rest looks pretty good
