I like my 2018 heaps of grunt, has a very nice look tows well. Can't wait to head bush and tour Australia. Warranty is now five years so this should take care of any inherent problems. The five cylinder 3.2 sounds great. Makes all the other dual cabs look pail in comparison.

I've just made it 60,000 kms with my 2013 XLT and I've put a direct pipe exhaust and done what they call "ECU program" with mine and it went to 260hp and also increased a lot the torque, and I hardly recommend doing that on yours, it had even decreased the fuel consumption.

We went about 300 miles with no break. The 2013 ranger full with three people small dog in rear cab with me. In the load area 3 bags full off clothes, tool boxes, dog toys, boots, and more it still pulled all the way there with no problem. It is absolutely the best on the market. Average speed is 40mph - 60mph

The best pickup truck out there. And the 2.2L and 3.2L TDCi engines are quite robust as well. Ride quality is one of the best also in its class.

They look like really nice vehicles and comfortable too. I was considering buying the 2.2 diesel but I have heard of them having so many problems with the engines and gearboxes that it put me off completely. One guy I spoke to who had the 2.2 diesel said he had replaced both the engine and gearbox on his. No thanks.

The 2.2 has been retained becuase its durability and fuel effiecient when the 3.2 has been replace by the bi turbo

Can confirm 9.3 - 9.7 combined. 12-15 if towing depending on what you're towing of course.

@@oilfactor Can confirm 9.6 with 3.2 diesel.Brother's friend in Germany bought one and that was his average consumption on 1000km.That's my average with Kia Sorento 2008 2.5 crdi AT.

They may with the 2019 or 2020 Ranger models as the competition have stepped up their game and also to make it more comparable to a F150.

They aren't trying to make it more comparable to a ford f 150 . The f 150 is a full sized pickup in its own class. The ranger is a half ton pickup not trying to compete or feel or look like an f150

The Rangers are now listed in the Dog and lemon guide as Unreliable and get 2 out of 5 stars. They have major problems with all the sensors on the vehicle and when you do an oil change the oil pump empties and wont reprime when the new oil is added. This means the oil pump fails and the engine then fails. Ford are having to replace engines at an alarming rate. I know a guy who has had 3 engine replacements from Ford. They also have major issues with their four wheel drive systems and drive train. Terrible vehicles. Basically Junk. But they make great paper weights or garden ornament's.

Matthew Jones okay well go to the dog and lemon guide and check it out for yourself. $5 and you can read their reviews on all rangers. Ford NZ have been replacing engines to hundreds of vehicles. I owned one and had numerous issues with the sensors on mine. I have met loads of Ranger owners since who have also had major problems. Go to the Dog and lemon and take the time to read all the issues for yourself before getting uptight with my comment. Or just bury your head back in the sand.

Jaime T Rubio III I sold my Ranger while it was still in warranty and purchased the new Isuzu Dmax. No issues so far. But you'd be better to look around at what you prefer. I'm just warning people to be aware of all the issues with the Rangers. Many of which are Major.

I've had 5 rangers mate all 3.2 ltr manuals do about 150 thousand plus kms every year never once have I had any issues I change my oil every 7500kms using genuine parts then it goes in to the dealership for book services and I'm about to buy another the company I work for has had endless issues with VW and Toyota, that's why I choose Ford's

Totally agree with you I bought a one year old ranger limited and it looked brand new it was a reason it lived it's first year in the car dealership garage so they hade to give the previous owner a new one and i was stupid enough to buy it because they said all the electrical system was changed but it had the same pore quality so I got an amarok v6 instead

I won't question whether or not yours was reliable, but Ford's parts are actually cheaper than both Toyota and Isuzu on average

A junk car and a big lie. A scam video. This car has only problems, check the net about ford ranger problems. We have 4 Rangers 2.2 and we will never buy Ford again. Much better deal is Isuzu D Max, very reliable car with much better fuel consumption. And Amarok it's best in this class, a real suv with Audi Q7 perfomance.
