I just picked mine up today. I got the 2016 cosmic blue RK. it was slightly used with 3000 miles on it. Felt good to ride out of the dealership. I cant wait to get to know it better.Nice video.

This is a great review. It shows all the little things I would want to know about this bike which other reviews too often skip. Thumbs up.

Last of the 103s is the way to go. Sure, on paper the M8 is 10% more power but it’s 50% less reliable on a long run.

I still rate this as my best purchase in a very long time. Comfortable like driving a Lazy Boy recliner on two wheels. Plenty of power. And unlike the BMW, so far, zero defects! Go AMERICA!

+AG Coarseman I love the Softail Deluxe, but with the "B" or balanced engine, it produces about 10% less horsepower. Also, HD has had issues with the balancers, as I understand it. That's the only reason I chose the Road King. We hope to have the 1K maintenance video soon - stay tuned.

+Jake Curl issues either the counterbalancers? News to me. Please elaborate.
@JamesCurl_aka_RedonKiLaus9 жыл бұрын
Hi- the 103 cubic inch engine comes in two varieties. One is for the "softail" version bikes and it is the 103B engine with counterbalancers. The other is the 103A engine that shakes like a leaf on a tree - which we all love - and uses isolastic mounting within the frame. Both say, "potato, potato" as they travel along the road. The B has about 10% less horsepower I believe.

+redonKiLaus I bought the 2016 road King yesterday. I can't wait till spring after the snow leaves. The colour combo of crushed ice and frosted teal is beautiful. Very retro.

I almost purchased that colorway but decided on black as it is what I have always had on a Harley. Fantastic choice, enjoy it and ride safe!

Great video. I'm surprised that Harley went with the separate right and left turn signal buttons. That's the one thing I hate about my BMW, although I am used to it now, as I'm sure you are too, being a previous BMW owner.
@redonKiLaus8 жыл бұрын
Yep, I was a bit surprised too, but it doesn't bother me at all. Thanks for watching!

You guys will have to explain to me why the separate left and right turn signals is surprising. My 2012 has separate switches. Is it the model that makes it surprising?

Nice, congrats. Are you keeping the other bikes?
@redonKiLaus9 жыл бұрын
+JSPEED Adventures I got rid of the crappy BMW and the GSX with the luggage since I don't have a use for them with the Harley. I kept the sport GSX as a fun toy to ride around town. Thanks for watching!

Agree. I had 2 BMWs and they were high maintenance bikes. Skip a valve adjustment and you pay it 2k miles later with other issues. I still have my GSX with 26k miles and stilla happy camper. Best regards.
