CD Players aren't completely obsolete yet, but they are starting to become obsolete in certain vehicles, even if the car is in the base trim. Better to sync all your songs from your CDs to an MP3 player or smartphone, even if your vehicle does have a CD Player.

The deal breaker for me is the captains charis on the elite trim. Why don't they have the bench seating as an option? I think I might go for other competitors.

Talgat Mendibaev I love the captains chairs. I have a Honda Oydssey and I took out the middle seat in the 2nd row because we never sat 3 kids across. My younger kids use the captains chairs, my teenager sits up front, and if we have other kids in the car, they sit in the back. I put the middle seat in to test whether we used it, since I was looking at the acura MDX and it has a bench seat, but my kids never used the 3rd seat in the 2nd row. That's what the 3rd row is for. It gives kids the space they need without being on top of each other.

Hi HondaPro, Greetings from Boston, MA. Is Honda going to address the FM radio issue that all the new Pilot owners are reporting? They are reporting a lot of static and fading in all the FM channels. Also, the Idle-Stop function that is too slow and annoying to be of any use. Will Honda provide a firmware update to permanently disable the Idle-Stop function? Thank You.

AJ`S SNEAKERS yes it is just the top models that have 7 passenger seating. Others have 8 seats.

These may all be good things, but Honda should have re-labeled the2016 version a Pilotyssey (the mating of a Pilot + Odyssey). The '16 version looks too much like a minivan, so it will likely appeal more to women than men. Not sure every SUV had to round back their roof structures to all look the same. I'll stick with my 09 Pilot and keep an eye on the Ford Explorer for the future.
