ABOUT THE 2016 HONDA PILOT
The all-new, third generation 2016 Honda Pilot has more of what active families seek in a three-row SUV - sleek and athletic styling, outstanding power, sophisticated technology, an available panoramic roof and a vast array of other standard features.
Building on the solid reputation established from the fall 2002 introduction of the first generation 2003 model, the 2016 Pilot brings a whole new level of refinement and available content to the segment. This includes a more powerful direct injected 3.5-liter SOHC i-VTEC® Earth Dreams™ Technology engine producing 280 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, and new 6-speed and 9-speed automatic transmissions. Providing outstanding dynamic handling are a new Intelligent Variable Torque Management™ (i-VTM4™) AWD System and all-new selectable Intelligent Traction Management system featuring Normal, Mud, Sand, and Snow modes on the AWD models. Also significantly upgraded are the Display Audio and navigation systems. The available Honda Sensing™ suite of safety and driver assistive technologies brings available features that include Collision Mitigation Braking System™ with Forward Collision Warning, Road Departure Mitigation System, Lane Keeping Assist System with Lane Departure Warning and Adaptive Cruise Control.
The 2016 Pilot trims available include LX, EX, EX-L, EX-L RES, EX-L Navi and Touring. Honda Sensing™ is available on the LX trim and standard on EX trims and above.

It was helpful to see your kids getting in the car. I have a 3 and 4 year old and wasn't sure if I would need to get running boards so they could hop on. But it looks like your kids had an easy time so maybe I don't need to worry about it and getting the cool chrome door trim instead!

To alleviate some confusion here this is the "Touring Elite" not the "Touring" Pilot only the Touring Elite's have the second row Captain's chairs and the panoramic sunroof it's also the only one that has the heated and cooled front seats the Touring. Unless you live in the EU or Canada where the Elite does not exist is called the Touring.

Hey Mike. Thanks for the video. I noticed that this review shows the Pilot having Captains chairs on the touring model. According to Honda's website. The capt chairs is only available on the elite model. Can you tell me if your review is on the touring or elite?

Angelito Muyot I believe the CANADIAN Touring is the Elite in the US

There is no "eco-boost", that's a Ford technology for turbo+direct injection. There is an Econ mode though.

I wish the US model Sapphire came with the black interior like this one. It only comes in grey interior if you choose Sapphire.

we loved our 14 4wd pilot, do you recommend the newer model? the 14 was great at it seems more tank like, and rugged. the interior could really take a beating? and now you can even get them even cheaper and fully loaded. thoughts?

Guillermo Ortiz I have a 14 pilot, I think older pilot looks better masculine with jeep like body. New models look more like van to me

We just checked out a 16 pilot touring with the 2nd row bench (not captains chairs). I can tell you the newer pilot is bigger than our MDX and has some nice features. The 2nd row tilts and slides, so the 3rd row is actually useable.

What should I buy Honda odyssey or pilot? Which is better for 3-kids?

Good question! We really liked both. It depends on what you need it for and where you're going to be driving it. I would suggest taking both out for a test drive to see which one you find more comfortable.

That's the elite , the touring doesn't have A space to walk between the back seats as well doesn't have that rear roof glass

Hi Luke! Unfortunately we haven't done a review of Pacifica. The only minivan we've reviewed so far is the Honda Odyssey.
