I've proudly owned a V8 since 2016 with zero issues till now. excellent car for the money spent, Before buying it I did a test drive for Audi A6, Lexus GS 350, BMW 5 series and Mercedes E 300 and I found out that the Genesis V8 is far the best deal. Highly recommended

I test drove a '15 fully-loaded 3.8 today. I was ridiculously impressed. The driving position was insane, I felt like I was in a sports car. With AWD, the V6 is incredibly smooth and quick. Ride quality was flawless in my book, but only in sport mode - in "normal" it felt all bouncy & over the place at highway speeds on bumps. And I'm all about ergonomics and features (but only if they're done well and defeatable) and this car was full of them. HUDs are a gamble depending on the manufacturer, but the one on the Genesis rocks. You can adjust height, color, contrast, and content. It shows you your speed, speed limit, cruise control information, blind spot warning, lane departure warning, it's pretty amazing. The intelligent full-stop cruise control worked like a dream. The power driver-seat side-bolsters were awesome. The 9-inch touch-screen worked flawlessly and responded quickly to your touches. The lane departure was a dream, because you can turn the annoying BEEP off but leave the steering wheel vibration on. Oh man...this is totally my next car. Anyone want to buy a used 2012 Kia Optima SX?
@TonyTube4079 жыл бұрын
+TonyTube407 I didn't like that the brakes felt numb. They did a great job stopping the car but even though I was the one pressing the pedal, it didn't feel like I was the one pressing the pedal. And no remote start. Otherwise, a flawless car.
@Puritan959 жыл бұрын
+TonyTube407 You can remote start your car with the downloaded Blue Link app on your cell phone. You can also lock and unlock the doors, beep the horn, and turn the lights off and on. I just bought an AWD with the Tech package. Still learning the ropes. The salesman tossed in the Genesis winged trunk emblem for free, so people are still asking what brand of car it is, as nothing on it now says Hyundai. I get quite a few surprised and appreciative comments when I tell them it's a Hyundai.

I just test drove 2016 Mercedes E250 sedan, road noise coming from the rear was terrible considering the car costs $120,000 in Australia! My cheap Holden Commodore has way less road noise... I'm yet to drive Genesis but am considering it after finding Lexus GS and Merc E-Class not that refined.

I seriously looked up several car makes, including jaguar and Audi, just trying to find out what this beautiful car was that I had seen on the road! Finally I thought.. Let me check out Hyundai. My first thoughts, because of the styling of the grill, and wing-like emblem, was that is was some new type of Chrysler. I'm very impressed with the styling..hence the reason for my elaborate search. Way to Hyundai!

Nope, just I'm just saying that insulting people over the internet doesn't make you better. It was a 2003 Elantra. It only had 10k miles when my parents got it from the dealer. You call that insulting someone? that was just a little jab, nothing hateful. sorry if it really offend it you .Anyway, Hyundai didn't make the most reliable cars back then, maybe your parents got a lemon car or just bad luck with that car, but Hyundai have gotten much better than before that's for sure. I have to be honest, I don't like this car, but I RESPECT IT. The First Genesis looked like a combination of a Lexus and Mercedes Benz. This one more so has it's own look. It doesn't look like a Mercedes, Lexus, BMW, nothing. It has it's own look. (I guess you could argue that it has a grill similar to the Audis, but not really.) If they can keep giving their cars a unique look and not just rip off their competitors, then I see a good future for the Genesis.

I have the 3.8 with all the goodies, and for me it has plenty enough power, handles quite well for such a heavy car. Mostly I love how quiet and comfortable it is on long trips, not to mention the sound system is crazy good. I been with Hyumdai now since 2003 and dont plan on going anywhere. Nice classy car. The last model Genesis depreciated like a mofo though. The same will likely happen here, which I'm looking forward to take advantage of by purchasing a certified used model in 2-3 years from now for about 30k on the loaded V6 model. 35-40k on a loaded 5.0 V8 model.

The only thing I dislike about. Come on, Genesis, twenty sixteen, no charging ports for the back seat riders, and when you put it in park all the doors unlock other than that.I really love the car.

as a korean, let me say that car manufacturing isn't one of our strengths. In Switzerland you'll find Audi R8s, Ferraris, Porsches and Aston Martins as common as BMWs in other developed countries.... But do the Swiss make cars? Not so, auto manufacturing is an oligarchy [like the oil industry] which is very hard to start, costly to run, and hard to profit from. what we koreans excel at are other dimensions... and let me give you some advice: buy European luxo barges because I know hyundais inside and out - they are not luxury cars.

Jace Haluptzok cadillacs constantly at the garage for electrical problems. My friend owns one, he’s selling it. Bmw is the best looking in this segment ( subjective I know). How about corrosion resistance??? Very important for Canadians and north easterners in the U.S.
