The enhanced sound in the cabin is definitely not “artificial sound coming from the speakers.” There is an extra tube extending from the intake that directs the intake sound towards the firewall and thus into the cabin. This is set apart from other manufacturers who do use artificial electronically enhanced sounds through the speakers. Do your research or maybe just look in your engine bay

Vincent Vanderbilt yes there's the front fascia, wheels, an 8 speed tranny vs the 6 speed, there's the digital gauges and steering wheel that are obviously different. The adjustable dampers were revised from what I can recall. 2016 was the year the car was refreshed. With that said the 2013 is a blast to drive with the 6 speed auto. To me it has the perfect amount of gears for performance driving. The 2016 also gets better gas mileage due to having higher gear ratios etc. otherwise the cars are identical with a majority of the underpinnings carrying over. Oh yes and the tail lamps are different too...

I bought a used 2016 GS350 F-Sport (Ultra White Exterior, Rioja Red Interior) a year ago with 41k miles for $28k (Original MSRP $58k) & its been an absolutely amazing car. A huge upgrade & massive improvement over my 2017 IS200t F-Sport that it replaced with a lot more luxury, better ride & handling & so much more. Couldn't ask for a better car. The only two cons I have with the car are the climate controls which I wish had knobs instead of buttons, but I use the voice commands most of the time which help. I also wish it had a top down view camera which was never available even on the 2020's which is a feature I want for my future car. BTW mine has a power trunk lid (It was optional). My 2016 GS350 AWD has 16,000 on it now. My engine seems a bit noisy, especially on a cold start. Is this common with this engine. Previously, I had driven 3 new Toyota Avalons and the engines on all 3 even after many miles was super quiet. Seems I hear a bit of chattering as I describe it which I'm not use to. I understand the ES and LS models are much quieter. Anyone else notice this on the GS 350 models. Love the car and all other features, but wondered about engine noise. I do burn Premium fuel all the time.

Right now, I own a 528 as well as the GS 350 F-Sport. When I have both to choose from, I find myself going towards the Lexus even though they are both great cars. I find the Lexus to be more comfortable when you want it to be and sporty when you go into sport plus mode. There is not a lot of noise in the Lexus unless you are full throttle and over 4K rpm. If I were you, I would test drive all of them to make sure that is the one you want. No doubt that the Lexus feels a little bit more luxurious, but it is all preference. Hope this helped

@yass1238 жыл бұрын
Agree on everything you've said. I love everything about it, but there are a few things that bug me about it. I'll just list my dislikes for now, if you don't mind: There isn't a big difference between sport and sport+. They should have just kept one. The transmission is jerky sometimes. The hold feature is annoying as hell. For example, if you're coming to a stop to turn at an intersection, waiting for people cross, it holds you. I wish it was like the Mercedes' where you just press the brakes harder to engage it when you need it. No headlights washers standard, hate looking at that blank button above the heated steering wheel. Cup holder cover isn't flushed with the rest of center console when you close it. No charger outlet outside the center console storage. They should have put one by the passenger foot well. My phone is also too big for the tray. No ambient lightening. There's some on the doors when the car is in park, but they turn off one you put the car in drive. The airbag cover on the passenger side dash isn't wrapped in leather like the top of the dashboard. I wish they matched the stitching on the dash and doors to match the seats colors. No Apple car play or Android auto. No pano roof. I think that's it LOL. I know we can't have it all, but I think these are the improvements for the next GS if Lexus were to ask me.

@FullThrottleMedia7 жыл бұрын
I would have to agree with all those listed. Especially the transmission. Especially when put in manual and downshifted into first gear. The jerkiness makes the ride very hard. However, when under a full throttle acceleration, first gear makes the car fly.
@the_color_orange7 жыл бұрын
Agreed. What seems stranger to me is that when you floor it from a standstill, the gearshifts are seamless, but at lower speeds, they can sometimes, not always, be a little jerky. Obviously some of it has to do with the finesse of the driver, but it seems like the Lexus people should've gotten that right at this point. The cup holder thing drives me slightly nuts, slight complaint though. Honestly, my biggest complaints about the car are: 1) There are more rattles in here than any other car I've ever owned - HOWEVER, this is the quietest car I've ever owned, so it is very possible that I'm just hearing more rattles because of the quieter overall interior, and 2) The freaking center console. Useless. There's nowhere to put my sunglasses, nowhere to put my radar detector, it's not big enough for anything useful. Seems like a minor complaint, but man...my old Optima had way more storage space between the glovebox and the center console. Like I said, minor, but it affects me on a daily basis. Overall though, I love the car to death. It's literally everything I want in a car. A bit of performance (not going to beat a 335xi, oh well), practicality, tons of reliability, luxury, and it's not a minger like the IS is. Love it.

the Lexus GS is far superior than my 525i in every way. I'd trade up to this GS F.
@FullThrottleMedia7 жыл бұрын
As far as luxury goes, the Lexus will beat the BMW 5 series. The quality of the interior is far more superior, but the handling and performance of course will go to the BMW. However, the new BMW models are stunning as well, especially with the new 5-series.

40k miles. Not bad. How much ? (If you don't mind me asking)
@FullThrottleMedia5 жыл бұрын
I believe a used GS of this year and this mileage would go for around 35k on the used market. Take a look at autotrader or other sites to get an accurate estimate

the plastic trim inside looks cheap. should be real carbon fiber, aluminum, or open pore wood for the price Lexus charges.

If you prefer the bmw or Mercedes interface you probably should have purchased one. Nothing against you but I'm so tired of people complaining about something that really shouldn't be an issue once you grow accustomed to it like with anything else. Easy fix. Tell me how that works out for you. I will wait!!!!

I own a BMW 430 GC as well as the Lexus. Not every car can be perfect. Lexus has been notoriously known for the poor multimedia interface.

In addition the Lexus has a lot more pros that outweigh the cons. For one, it is more reliable and I will not have to worry about major mechanical issues.

"Artificial sound coming from the speakers"?? WTF are you talking about....
@FullThrottleMedia7 жыл бұрын
Nowadays, manufacturers will use artificial sound to enhance the noise in the cabin. A good example is the BMW i8. The 3 cylinder engine found in that car does not make great noises, but inside the car, fake noise is played to simulate a more exhilarating experience. Look into it because many automotive companies do this now.

I traded my 2014 GS 350 F Sport. I didn’t want the responsibility of paying for the $1200 brake jobs. And the constant brake dust was a pain. I should have purchased a non F Sport GS.
@duydo74546 жыл бұрын
John Green you bought a 50k+ car and you don’t want to spend 1200 on one of the most important safety parts of the car when it is due for service? Guess you skipped oil change as well. The amount of money the dealer stole you from the trade in is a lot more than $1200.

@John Green I got 2015 RWD GS350 F Sport. Regarding brakes and rotors. I went online and purchase Black Dimple Slotted Rotors and yellow brakes pads staged 5 kit from EBC for 2015 GS350 Fsport.Product Salesman gave me $80 dollars gift certificate discount total $843 dollars. These brakes pads and rotors eliminate dust, dissipate heat,air circulation, and massive stopping distance in the rain 🌧️. Also I like the styling of Rotors with yellow brakes pads. All I'm saying there are options less expensive OEM rotors and brakes. Keep in my Lexus discontinued GS model in 2020 . These vehicles will be rare to see in future 👍👍.

I have driven this car. It does have good pick-up and handles fairly well for a sedan. Sports car it is not though. Pretty boring to drive in my opinion and seems like a waste of money over the cost of the standard GS350. If you want a sports car than you could do much better. This is a total waste of money was going thru my head when I drove it. I guess whatever suits ones taste though.
