2016 Mazda 6 GT Wagon Review | CarAdvice

Do European brands, particularly those from Germany, really have sole ownership of the ‘premium car’ tagline?
Public consensus notwithstanding, Mazda Australia certainly doesn’t think so, and the Mazda 6 tested here may be the Japanese manufacturer’s finest means of prosecuting its case.

I would so go out and buy this car (top spec) *if* they put the CX-9 engine in it. Why don't they? I am sure it would fit. They clearly are not going down the MPS path again any time soon, so this is a good alternative. No R&D costs, just some engineers crunching numbers and a few weeks of testing on a track -- bam! You got yourself a winner, Mazda. Do it!

It definitely does look nice, and it could do well in the US with other wagons gaining popularity. Regal has brought theirs here. But this Mazda would need awd for most to actually get one here. The Fusion wagon looks nice too, sold in Europe (Mondeo wagon), could do well here too if it were brought over.

can get very cold. the southern states of Victoria (Melbourne) and Tasmania can get especially cold during the winter as they get Antarctic winds. Australia has a number of Alpine regions in Victoria and NSW where it snows and where we have some very good ski towns

I have a 2013 and its a peace of shit... In 90000km driven it has used 5sets of brake disc and pads a wheel baering, 2 turbos, 2 camshafts, 2 hungup cruis controls.... And the list go on.... This is a well served car..
