My ‘14 Mazda 6 has 394,000 miles with only oil, plugs (replaced 4 times) & coils (once). Still get 36-38 mpg hwy. Couldn’t ask for a better made vehicle!

Bought my 2016 Mazda 6 with 24k miles in 2018. Currently has almost 140k miles. Never had an issue. Only changed oil and tires. Same with a couple friends and coworkers. We love our Mazda's

I have had a 2014 Mazda 3 with the 2.5L skyactiv for 7 years now, 150+ k miles and I've never encountered these issues. The most common issue for me has been the belt tensioner which I've had to replace twice. Have owned the car since it had 22k miles.

Have a 2015 Mazda 3 2.0 and a 2017 Mazda 3 2.5, both with 45k miles. Both have been flawless with reliability. Only normal maintenance and a couple recalls. I would add that the thermostat seems to be a somewhat more common problem per other owners.

Former Mazda6 Gen 1 owner, which came from the Ford plant. Mine, along with many others, suffered the rusted rear wheel wells, right at year 4 and 5. Their fix, only if found under warranty, was to issue you $200-$300 to go get the rust fixed by a body shop. Nobody knew about the TSB, and needless to say, you'd see just about every Mazda6 on the road with rusted wheel arches. The 2003 Yellow models looked pathetic! My mother even bought one after me and had the same problem- she liked the car so much and was going to make it her last one going into retirement- she (both my parents) paid $2000 to have the old fender/roof run clipped out and a new one installed then refinished. After that, and witnessing everyone's rusted wheel arches on the road, and how Mazda didn't really handle it- I'll never buy another Mazda.

Mazda 6 2016 from 65k miles to 194k miles I had no issues until now. My check engine light came on and wouldn’t go over 40 mph. I need coils and plugs

The worst thing about the Mazda is the air insulation. I owned a 2014 one. The air insulation and ground insulation for noise are very bad. My old car, the 2009 Toyota Camry, has much better air and noise insulation than it.

Loved my 2016 Mazda 6. Only issue it had was it kept eating belts and tensionners... replaced a total of 3 sets.

I have a 2014 mazda 6 with 107000 miles on it. The check engine light came on with P0421 code with ignition coil codes p2302, p2305, p2308 and p2311. There is no misfire, the car runs very smooth, the catalytic converter is great, the oxygen sensors are great, changed spark plugs and ignition coils, did take it to the dealership for a pcm update. None of them helped me. Still same code with only one side effect that is bad gas mileage of avg 20 mpg. What could be the issue

Tried to check my transmission fluid level and you have to remove the airbox. No way the engine runs with this removed. Any ideas?

You guys forgot to bring up more important stuff. Accessory belt tensioner leaks OCV oil seeping Front timing cover oil seeping Never heard of the intake hoses failing 🤣 Also the misfires are very commonly coils not injectors. Valve hydraulic lash adjusters rarely ever have issues in Mazdas as long as you take care of your oil So you brought up possible issues but the ones I brought up are actually common while the ones you guys brought up are pretty rare

You forgot about the auto trans Parking mode switch in the 2014 specifically. And also about the fact that the steering bellows boots are considered to be a great delicacy by rodents, to the exclusion of almost everything else on the car. Mazda sells a lot of steering racks on these cars (if you catch it early enough, you only have to replace the 20 dollar boot.)
