Hi. I just bought a Mazda 6 2015 in South Africa.Great discounts available this time of year. Mid- trim Level equivalent I think. What I got was 2.5 with I-ELOOP, I-STOP, full leather interior, sunroof, parking sensors front and rear no camera though. Got standard cruise control, climate control. No BSM, AFS that only available on the top model. Interior the same otherwise. Brand new car, pre facelift version so old infotainment system, no nav but don't mind price equivalent $ 21 000. Think it's a good deal ? Thanks for the videos btw, great way to get to know a car. Take care

Recently got a Deep Crystal Blue Mazda 6 for my daily driver. Absolutely love it. I checked out all the mid sized sedans in the $30k and under and the 6 wins hands down. Amazing car. Wish you had of shown the 2016 white interior though. It looks amazing.

I decided to get the 2015 instead of the 2016 Mazda 6 because all Mazda did was get the Mazda 3 interior and put it on the 6. All that extra chrome wasn't necessary for me.

Greetings from the States! Great videos. A few questions. Are the power windows auto up/down? Is the heated rear seats option unique to Canada? Does the 2016 model have memory seats? Can you please do a quick night time video comparing the LED headlights vs the HID headlights and other night time things like general cabin illumination and the active driving display? Thank you. carreraenzo90 Power windows are auto. We do have a different packages here in Canada yes. Rear heated seats are part of that and the GT models have memory seating. I have the video, haven't edited it yet. Soon.... :)

The lights are at least 2x as bright in the 2016 from the 2014, lol, both inside and out. They also have a bluish undertone. You can adjust the brightness of the active display too. Overall the 2016 is greatly improved over the 2014. :) it handles better, sounds quieter, and looks much nicer. I went for an oil change with my (ironically, meteor gray) 2014, saw this on the floor, and was like oh hell yes, upgrade!

BklynBabe I'm not sure if your username implies your location, but I am from NYC myself. If you are from the area, do you recommend any particular dealerships? Mazda is pretty scarce around here, and I am a pretty rough guy when it comes to negotiations - don't want to burn any bridges with dealers that like to take advantage. If you don't mind me asking, are you leasing or did you buy the 6? You got the grand touring? How do those beautiful rims handle our crappy pothole ridden streets?

carreraenzo90 I actually live in NC now, but I did drive my 2014 in NYC last year and it did very well on those roads. And down south roads aren't much better anyway, lol. The 2016 handles even better! I do have the GT and love it.

David, All of the 2016 GT models sold in the US have the heads up display. It shows speed, cruise control info, and limited nav info as well. I have finally started getting used to it since im so used to looking at the regular speedometer!! Still irritated about the lack of rear seat heaters :( grrrr, but I got the beautiful meteor grey exterior, so take that Lisa!!! hehehehe

But unlike the 2015 model does not have the button "AFS OFF" I would like to know how I can activate this system in the car. When I turn the car lights and the lights are on automatic only up and down but as active to go to the sides when one is conduciento and rotate with the wheel. I hope you can help me. JORGE JOAQUIN JORDAN Now that we have MAZDA CONNECT & LED headlights, it's done through the SETTINGS Menu. They work when driving more than 2km/hr.

Good video. I'm a Atenza 2014 owner in China. The 2016 version (maybe) will be introduced next year in China. I love the new interior. It seems you missed the light under the grill. I really want to see that the light in night.

I really like the look of Mazda but how do they perform long term? do they match the reliability of a honda accord or toyota camry? I'm one of those people that likes to use my cars for a long time.

juss7111 Yes. Take care of it & it will be good to you. This generation is even better than the last. In 2014 Mazda switched production of the Mazda6 to Japan. This came after Ford sold it's stake in the company so it is no longer built in the States. It gives me even more confidence in this vehicle's reliability.

I had my 2003 6 for 10 y, 150k miles, and it was very reliable! :) I really didn't have any problems until the last year, probably because I was beating on it at 30k that year. I had the 2014 6, but I beat on it for 2 years for 75k, and had no problems. I have the 2016 6, and I would say it is the best car out of all of them, and I plan to take it to at least 10 years, unless Mazda keeps playing these how to make more amazing cars games, lol. However I just saw a Protege the other day and it looked immaculate!!!! I have seen quite a few Proteges that must be about 20 years and look flawless :) not so many 323, 626 or Millennia though.

I wonder why the mazda connect display isnt a touch screen. The new cx-3 will have a touch screen. Weird.

etotherescue2010 It is touch. Touch screen doesn't work while driving for safety. This is why we have the HMI Commander knob and Voice controls.

i took this car out for a test drive today. Now im just trying to decide if i want the GT or the Touring trim with tech package. BTW the base model has a 6 speaker system. Are they Bose speakers as well ? How do they sound comparative to the 11 speaker setup ?

Sjrick The base system is not bad but the bose is optimized specifically for the cabin size so def better. If you are a music lover you'll notice. If you are a talk radio kinda person, it won't matter.

I just got back again today from the dealer and listed to the base model speakers. You are correct, they really arent that bad sound wise, but that extra sub kick the 11 speaker gives you is amazing. Now its just choosing the color i want. Ive never seen an auto maker with such awesome colors. There isnt a bad choice in the bunch, Decisions Decisions !!
