2016 Mercedes-AMG GT S (510hp) - DRIVE & SOUND (60FPS)

AMAZING Drive & Sound test with the all-new 2015 / 2016 Mercedes-AMG GT S delivering 510 hp and 650 Nm of torque. First of al I can't thank the guys from www.torpedo-gruppe.de enough that made this 2 day testing possible. They are a great support for my channel so you might wanna check out their Facebook Page for daily updates on interesting car offers, also affordable ones;) Back to the AMG GTS, its and awesome vehicle and I never had the chance to drive one on the road before. The acceleration figures are really impressive putting it on pair with the SL 63 AMG and only slightly behind a 550 hp Nissan GTR! I don't even know if I ever had so many positive reactions to a car that I tested, as many people are coming and asking about the power or specs, and you don't feel offended. It's a worthy "successor" of the SLS and the sound, by any means, is comparable or even better than the SLS. Sehr gelungenes Fahrzeug, auch wenn die Proportionen gerade im Seitenprofil nicht so schön rüberkommen wie im real Life...aber, Schwann drüber, wann ist das schon mal so? Und obwohl ich ja eigentlich bei Blau-Weiß München verortet bin, muss ich sagen, dass die Soundwertung seit jeher an Mercedes, resp. AMG geht. Einfach Gänsehaut pur! Abschließend noch mal ein generelles Lob für Deinen Kanal: die Darstellung der Fahrzeuge, die Bildsetzung, Licht, Sound und VOR ALLEM das Fehlen von sinnloser Musikuntermalung oder permanentem Gequatsche - das Alles begeistert mich seit Langem. Wie oft habe ich mich in der Vergangenheit bei "Autosendungen" schwarz geärgert, dass während des gesamten Beitrages Musik im Hintergrund lief, selbst bei der Klangprobe im Stand! Deswegen auch jetzt: Abo! Weiter so!

Ich bin wirklich ein richtiger BMW Fan. Aber mein Gott, was haben die da für ein einzigartiges Auto gebaut. Ja, es hat etwas an Ähnlichkeit mit dem 911er, aber ich persönlich finde den hier viel schöner. Vor allem wegen dem V8 Sound würde ich den hier jedem Porsche vorziehen. Ich müsste sogar überlegen, ob ich lieber einen M6 haben würde oder den AMG GT.

For the price it should be 600 plus horsepower. I'm very mad at that due to great styling and driving dynamics this car is perfect just need more power. When you see AMG you expect some serious power like zo6 sadly to say will destroy this car. looks and build quality this car will win.

+just wood apparently u been sleeping under rock u need to see the corvette zo6 which has 650hp that will destroy this car and some other supercars. The only thing this car has is better build quality and styling interior and exterior thats unmatched. I know once AMG is placed on a Mercedes it means business. For some reason this doesn't say race ready. More like a luxury car in disguise of a sport car. I test drove one and was not taken by the power like the affordable zo6 but i love Mercedes been a loyal buyer for years. just this car looks sporty but lacking the AMG balls I aspect thats all. Ein hervorragender, aufwändiger Channel mit einer Vielzahl von Informationen, besonders zum Thema AMG. Danke dafür. Meine Frage zum AMG-Soung geht genau in die andere Richtung. Kann man diese Fahrzeuge durch die aufpreispflichtige, zusätzliche, manuelle Klappensteuerung bei Bedarf leiser fahren, als wenn man diese manuelle Klappensteuerung nicht hat? Bei manchen Videos wird das im Stand gemacht, was schon sehr gut für den ersten Eindruck ist - mir kommt es aber darauf an, wie sich das beim Vorbeifahren anhört. Und ab wieviel Umdrehungen, Gaspedal-Stellung werden die Klappen geöffnet?Kommt das Sprotzeln immer oder nur im Race oder Sport+-Mode? In bestimmten Situationen ist es erforderlich ohne großes Feuerwerk vorbei- oder loszufahren :-) In jedem Fall werde ich diese Channel abonnieren. Traumhaft!

+MCH Danke zunächst für das positive Feedback. Die Klappensteuerung gibt es meines Erachtens auch bei der serienmäßigen AGA aber man hat den Knopf in der Mittelkonsole nicht und kann daher das öffnen und schließen nur durch die Fahrmodi beeinflussen. Die Klappen sind rechts und links und öffnen je nach Drehzahl, Modus und vor allem auch nicht immer gleichzeitig da das Thema Schallwellen relativ komplex ist....da haben sich ein paar fähige Ingenieure viel Gedanken gemacht um maximalen Sound bei minimalen Dröhnfrequenzen hinzubekommen. Das "Sprotzeln" ist so extrem nur im Race bzw. leicht im Sport + Modus.

+AusländerMitGeld AMG Der neue ist mit offener Klappe lauter als der SLS, der SLS hat einfach nur ein metallisches Geräusch welches auf Videos anders (lauter) rüber kommt, gleiches gilt für den C63.

Bradley Schey No way can you compare F-Type to an AMG GT. Entirely different leagues, in my opinion F-Type doesn't come close to the AMG GT in terms of ride quality, power, performance, interior, exterior... everything.

You obviously haven't driven one then. I tested the AMG GT S variant and it was good, but by no means put a smile on my face. I got to drive the SLS a while back, and that was much more fun. As I compare everything to a Lamborghini Huracan (since it's my favorite supercar) the F-Type R felt most supercar like without the pain of actually owning a supercar. The AMG GT didn't, and it cost a lot more. It felt like every other Mercedes, and just no feel of exclusivity. The Jag felt much more exclusive, also got all the heads turning with the exhaust and styling. So, I naturally bought the Jaguar. Personally, if I were going to buy a Mercedes, I think I'd rather go for a C63S coupe over an AMG GT S. Mercedes should have just kept the SLS and the 6.2L V8, and to the eco whores to fuck off.
