Because they charge a ton of money to do it for you. For the dealer to do the oil, front diff and reae diff/transmission they wanted over $300.00!!!

Yea, they said ~100 to change oil alone here. Not impressed.

@@mudslinger704 my goodness just changed my oil and wth were they thinking putting that filter there. O barehanded it off but I think the cussing loosened it more than anything.

Thanks for the video. Just got a 570 yesterday, my first ATV. That release of the oil filter, is there anything that can be done, to not let it spill all over the skid plate, when it's removed? ...you can see at the end of your video, when you're putting the drain plug back in, that the oil is now just dripping steadily from the skid plate, and that filter removal, which is not something I want all over my garage floor!
@mudslinger704

You can try to route the spillage with some tinfoil.

Could also put and old towel u are gonna throw away down between the filter and skid to soak up mist of the oil, that's what Ibdo with my 570. Usually takes care of most of it

Or maybe don’t change the oil in the garage? 🤔 Bring it outside and do it!

How is the power on the 450? Any clutch mods done when you put those tires? Haven't driven their 400 class ATV since the early 2000 lol

I have a 2017 sportsman 450. Are the rear end and trans fluid together? is there only one drain and fill for both?

I do have a question. I also have a 2016 Polaris sportsman 450. Why did you use the dipstick hole instead of the oil fill under the seat near the air intake?
@mudslinger704
@mudslinger704 5 жыл бұрын
Easier to fill at the dipstick. No difference.

Nice video. Does your sportsman still work? or does it have any problems with it? or has it had any problems? I want to get a sportsman 450 and most people say that they are great but some say they get problems. if anyone else has/had a sportsman 450 i would like to also hear from you too. Thanks

I have chosen to go with a Polaris sportsman but i don't know which one to go with i can go with the 450 or the 570 but the 570 is an extra $500 AU and I think 401 US which one would you go with? they both come with a 3 year warranty I think. and I will save $2500 AU or $2007 US if we get it in the next 20 or so days
