Will the servo code cause the bike to go in limp mode ??
@Concordeagle3 жыл бұрын
I have not heard of that, it's more of an annoyance on the instrument panel. I didn't test it so don't know 100%.

Can I install full exhaust system and use 2 servo buddy for front and rear without tune ? Does it harm the engine ?
@Concordeagle Жыл бұрын
If you install a full system, you can remove both servos, but you will need to update the ECU to tune everything. Tons of tuning options out there.
@soamjena6 жыл бұрын
You did not install it on the front servo motor ?
@Concordeagle6 жыл бұрын
No, just rear the rear, much harder to get to the front one. I've also heard it's better to leave the front one.

The servobuddy is installed cause of the dash error it gets if you remove it??
@Concordeagle7 жыл бұрын
Exactly. That is its sole purpose, tricks the computer into thinking the servo is still there.
@kevinyung17436 жыл бұрын
so if i remove the servo sensor, will i get a check engine light on the dash?
@Concordeagle6 жыл бұрын
Yes, you will get an error, not sure what it looks like, but it does trigger a fault.

why didn't you just take off the cables only? servo can work without cables and without errors... Or not?@@Concordeagle

i tried this on my 2017 with stock subframe but it just won't slide out and i'm afraid i'll brake it...any extra tips?
@Concordeagle5 жыл бұрын
It will slide out, once you unscrew it there is nothing else holding it, just be patient and wiggle the cables, they will come out. Use tape to make it slide easier. You don't need to remove the subframe or swing arm.

Do I have to remove both servo motors for it to sound better or is the rear good enough?
@Concordeagle4 жыл бұрын
Rear servo only, don't mess w the one by headers unless you are installing a full system and getting everything tuned.

Dear Friend, Could you please share your ride experience difference after servo / exhaust butterfly removed. I am asking to know if the system actually increases backpressure at lower RPMs like companies say OR they were simply for controlling sound decibels. I own a 2016 Z800 and am confused about slipon between Akra which has the exhaust value and IXIl X55 which sounds too good.
@Concordeagle7 жыл бұрын
No idea, sorry. I did not dyno before or after. I removed it for weight savings and sound purposes. I have ridden the bike very hard at the track multiple times and no issue. I doubt there are any performance gains from this mod.

i removed the stock exhaust and the servo and installed akropovic shorty type exhaust , does it harm the engine?

Did you get a Faulty code before you installed the servo buddy? And if yes did it go away on its own when you installed the servo ?
@Concordeagle4 жыл бұрын
No, you should not unplug servo motor and run bike without servo buddy or you will get a fault code and have to use a tool like Motoscan to reset.

It should since bikes are very similar, but check the Servo Buddy website to be sure.

disconnect that butterfly and your bike will serge and run jerky under 4 thousand rpm. I've been hunting why my bike is shit in traffic doing 20 up to 50 kph. been driveing me nuts. brought the bike second hand and the guy didn't tell me he had disconnected it. untill lucky I noticed the cable going to the server black box on baffle wire disconnected ..it's for backpreseure and it needs it to run smooth. at low revs . 2018 s1000rr 12000 km old. . leave it on unless you just ride wide open. ..who does really. this is a very mild serge but after 40 minutes in traffic. youl get the idea. I even want to try and somehow make the fuel more ritch from 1 thousand to 4 thousand to smooth it out even more. still feels a touch jerky .. any ideas??? s1000 rr booster plug ???
@Concordeagle4 жыл бұрын
I have not experienced this behavior. Are you referring to the second servo valve higher up near the headers?
@petermoygannon6984 жыл бұрын
@@Concordeagle no..its right foot side at end of baffel ..was wondering why it was no good even took it into bmw bike shop they said it was fine . it's still a tiney bit serging . they make these bikes run lean for emitions I've read . it could do with more ritching up. I'm looking at boosrlter plug or power comander .. because (before) I reconected the butterfly valve it ran better in first 3 minutes because motor was cold and on initial start up they run ritch until warmed up . hence booster plug. check it out ..it fools the fuel system into thinking it's minus 5 degrees ..makes it run richer ..and smoother...this bike at 3 to 4 thousand rpm that big butterfly valve is shut ..backpresuse it liked to help run at a smoother ride.

I've got to find a way now to do that . mabee power comander . or booster plug .

@@Concordeagle this butterfly valve defanatly creates backpresure there is no doubt there it's a closed valve at 4000 rpm if you tap the throttle to 6 thousand and hold it at 4 it opens slightly and closes again .starts opening up past 4 . so this mod has been busted . so people now can make up there own minds .the ecu map I would think would be same for every country mabee not I'm in Australia. this mod good mabee if you never go to the city . lol have fun buddy ride safe ok thanks for time.
