I received the kit today from the Amazon link you provided below. I followed your instructions and completed the job successfully. I now have cruise control. As a comment to anyone else visiting your posting, I bought the $15 wheel puller kit from Harbor Freight and it did the job. The correct fitting bolts are included in that puller kit. The wheel came off very easily. The entire job was not very hard to do and I would say "don't hesitate" to anyone thinking about adding cruise control. When taking off the wiring harness, just remember which side the white connectors are on and put the new harness one the same way and you won't have an issue regarding if the connectors are on the right switches or not. Pretty straight forward.

Go white on right, black on left{when wheel is upside down, as pictured in the video} I did it that way, wiring was correct. You do not need a wheel puller to get the steering wheel off, loosen the nut off, hit the outside rim of wheel on both sides, wiggle wheel, repeat as needed, it will come off. A great video, I followed it installing on my 2013 Rio, very simple to do!! Thanks for posting it for all to see/use.

I would like if I could add telescopic feature too so I could put the seat beck further without stretching my arms put. I wouldn't know what that conversion would consist of. It seems hard to even find a Rio SX bumper piece with the exhaust tip cutout.

i have a 2016 lx. think it came with the cruise but im not sure. never used it but this was informative to see how to get the wheel off. dealer woulda charged 500 for that lol

Actually, it's white on left, black on right with wheel upside down, it would be white on right, black on left as it sits on the car.

I have a 2016 Rio LX with automatic. The link you show for Amazon indicates a 2012 to 2015 Rio. Just double checking to make sure this was the very same kit you purchased for your 2016 Rio. Also, A new clock spring? Is this something I need? Thanks for your help and your great video.

Yes, the kit fits the 2016 Rio. I was curious about the "clock spring" also, but mine in the USA was the correct one. I think the concern about the clock spring mainly came from cars shipped to other countries.

your rio will have the clock spring already installed for your airbag and steering controls, the clock spring is to prevent the wires from twisting when you turn the steering wheel.

So i have managed to install and the indicator now shows cruise, all the buttons work. . But it looks the cruise rocker (res and set) doesn't work.. I can't tell if the cruise really works or not.. Tried slow road test and it doesn't seem to work.. Do I have to test it in higher speed?

You should test it at higher than 25mph (40km/h). The "SET" should display near the "CRUISE" on the display indicating cruise is active. If it doesn't you may have a loose connection or bad switch.

I have a Kia Rio III UB - 2017 . Do you know if it includes cruise control ?

It probably does, just needs the buttons installed if they are not there now.

According to U.S. specifications, all 2016 Kia Rio models (LX, EX, SX) include ESC (stability control). My model already has ESC. U.S. models of the 2016 Kia Rio do not have or offer a model with AWD (all wheel drive) or "traction control", so there is no button or control for that.

Yes, basically by default. If you have a US version of the 2012 - 2016 Kia Rio base model then it has cruise control, just needs the switches.

Chances are good that you could do this on a Soul if you could find the parts.

I am having a tough time deciding between a new Kia Rio LX base stick shift for $10,800 OTD, and a new left over 2017 Kia Soul base model stick shift for $13,250. I think the Sou will be roomier and a bit safer. But the Kia was a Fun Drive.
