I finally have cruise control!!! I had to get a dealership to put mine in for me because the airbag in my 2016 KIA Rio absolutely would not release for me. The first KIA service center refused to do the job. A mechanic agreed to do it "cash only, no reciept." The second KIA service Ctr agreed to do it without asking anymore than "What is wrong with your buttons?" To which, I replied, "Nothing, they all work perfectly." I got my OEM parts on Ebay for $70.00 and had to pay $140.05 for the install. Still way worth it. Thank you!

Hey I have the same model Rio except mine is a 2013 with the manual door and windows and bought the cruise control kit from a different guy you did but after the install, the cruise on/off button doesn't work. I used my Autell scanner to check the "cruise" and "set" indicator lights on the dash and both came on when told to do so by the scanner. The only thing that works is the back light on all the buttons when you turn on the headlights. I know you said that you didn't need to replace the clock spring but some other guys on YT are saying different. Do you have any updates about this?

Well it's important to change the wire harness to the new cruise buttons.. I would double check that they stayed plugged in. If they didn't become unplugged. Still don't work Kia factory must have reprogrammed computer.. is yours a 2016 kia rio

I have Standard Kia Forte 2016. i went to the dealer for cruise control and they said that it would not take only switch and harness but also ECM settings and lot of other things, They also said I do it myself i would lose the warranty. The supporting parts for are installed in the car. even for smartkey fob. How you guys are doing it

I was told by the guy in my video from e-bay..that some of the 2014 Kia Rio need a clock spring also....IMPORTANT TO HAVE HIM TO RUN YOUR VIN NIMBER...I dont know but he might work for Kia in Korea....seems to be very confident on what parts you need to get cruise working...

Not at all.. just hooked up the harness.. car already set up..

Fire wall ?? I drilled nothing.. all i did was buy the parts i showed.. its plugs right in.. no drilling or nothing.. just follow my steps. I did it to a 2015 rio with manual then removed it and installed same parts on a 2016 rio automatic trans. ..no problem​@motodrummer

Yes.. Only thing i didn't like was when i had it on the 2015 rio manual shift .. If you just pushed the gear shifter into neutral the engine revved up and cruise stayed on... BUT i have it installed on the 2016 rio automatic... And not one single problem.. Works like it should for 4 years now! :):):)

@@xray364 i know i think that guy worked at Kia because the stuff i bought was 100% factory original parts... So look again at my video see if you can get the Kia part numbers off video and try ordering from Kia dealers or online..i will have to look i might have original boxes..

my friend it is a very helpful video but... first of all I cannot find your ebay seller any other seller I asked if the switch is enough and ok for my car just answered me to see if mine is just the same with their pics or to ask my car official dealer. I also asked every Kia dealer in greece (about 15 different companys) and they told me that it cannot be done and that I would need another main prossesor (I don't know if I am saying that right I hope you understand me). So in the end I am afraid of just ordering from ebay the switch and also I dont want to do the whole thing on my own even if I find the wiring behind the wheel and if it works as you say cause I will lose my 7 years warranty. Any suggestions please

not sure but some of the older kia models also need new clock springs...i only know that on a Kia rio 2015 and 2016 just putting in the buttons and and wire harness gives you cruise control...

Yes, I kept my old buttons and harness and installed them back into the 2015 Rio. I wanted the parts for my 2016 Rio. Also I was concerned about the warranty being voided.. Soooo hang on to the old parts. I just looked briefly on Ebay and could not find the same guy I bought my parts from. But many other sellers there selling the same parts straight from Korea.

Well everyone at kia dealer told me my car was not.. and they also wanted to put some cheesy I mean super cheesy after market cruise control. Guy wanted drill holes in the steering column, and all kinds of other cheesy stuff. I started to research the subject and I found a guy on Ebay who sold the factory cruise parts in my video. So, I bought them under a hundred bucks and went for it. And as you see I now have a factory cruise working just fine. I was told that all auto manufacturers make all motors and computers cruise ready, just need to install the buttons and wires and possibly new clock spring,. As you see in my video both my kia's were stripped down models and both now have cruise and all little LED lights work on buttons and in dash. Dealer also said I would have to have computer reprogrammed bla bla bla.. I am living proof they are full of crap and don't know what they are talking about. I would just buy the parts for your make and model and go for it.. I mean what is 100 to $150 to see if it will work... also all factory and nice looking... or go to dealer let them charge you $750 for some tacky as hell after market cruise with holes and levers coming out of the steering column that are hard to use....LOL!!!

Hello in a 2015 Kia Rio can you Please show us where the Cruise Control Computer, is physically located, Normally this is near the driver’s side kick panel, though the location can vary depending on the vehicle. So that way we call tell if our KIA Rio'S are Cruise control Compatible, PLS and Thank U.

Mike Carone I dont know..but you should ask the guys on E-bay that sell the parts....they should know...hell i onlly spent like $90 on parts and 2 hours of time to find out if it worked or not...I felt it was worth the chance...I am so happy with it..all factory parts...all micro leds on buttons lite up...very cool....

Hi..i bought a stripped down 2015 Kia, no power windows,no cruise, no power locks..I wanted cruise really bad,so i did did my research...the guy in my video from e-bay ran my ven number......and all i bought was the buttons and little harness....i installed the new little harness and cruise buttons...and it i now has cruise...engine and car is built for cruise control from the factory,all you need is the parts in my video..BUT IMPORTANT TO HAVE THE GUY FROM E-BAY RUN YOUR VEN NUMBER TO SEE IF YOU ALSO NEED A CLOCK SPRING....

well i am writing this because something is wrong here everyone i have talk to in regard to cruise install say you can't just add buttons and thats it a 2015 kia i was told new does not have cruise compensates at all you must install the mechanical portion also in other words a after market kit. and this is coming from the dealer and my grandsons dad who is are certified.so my be you would care to elaborate on the install.

I'm facing problem with my kia rio 2014 cruise control , the button reset and trip are not working , I checked the buttons. it seems okay but want to check the wiring , can yu help me ?

Ayman Agamy I would get a multimeter and test for continuity on the wiring. If it does show continuity it's not the loom.. Open your button module and see if there is any corrosion as this may be preventing contact between the switches.. if the modules are failures, hit up a wrecker and find another steering wheel and swap it out or buy the modules and replace them..

The video shows the part numbers from Kia but the person i ordered them from deleted his online store..I would go to a Kia dealer or online Kia dealer and give them the part numbers and order parts... but these numbers i have only used on a 2015, 2016 kia rio

You need the blue tooth radio and the microphone..i had the same parts on my 2015 kia no blue radio so no blue tooth..Then I bought a 2016 kia rio...it came with a blue tooth radio and microphone in head liner..I installed the same exact cruise control parts..all is well..to find out exactly what you need ..ask the guy from ebay ..he is the kia expert ..all he needs is you vin # ..all parts come strait from Korea. thanks dave

Also..my new Ukrainian wife could not drive the 5 speed stick on the 2015 Kia..sooooo 6 months later i removed the cruise parts off the 2015 traded the damm thing in...and bought a 2016 Kia Rio with a automatic transmission...it did not have cruise ....so I installed the same exact parts from the 2015 in the 2016 Kia ..and i now have cruise in the 2016 Kia Rio..all lights in dash work....hell i only spent like $90

THANKS!!! BUT!!BE CAREFUL.. I had cruise set on my stick shift...and i just slipped it into nuetral with out tapping brake or pushing in the clutch..and the motor reved wide open..

he is not on ebay any more...but the part numbers are on the boxes in my video. so if you have a 2015 or 2016 Rio these part numbers will work... so go to kia dealer and order them.. or search online for the part numbers
