Hey I had a question about a sub system I installed in a car…I put it in and everything works but I noticed sometimes when nothing was being played it would randomly make a low rumble sound?? Do you know what would be causing this

@@josiahmoser6347 Depends on the vehicle, but sounds like it could be ANC playing through the speakers. Can't help much unless I know the year, make, model, amp, sub, head unit, etc. Too many variables.

@@josiahmoser6347 No. I mean the issue is probably your aftermarket amplifier is amplifying the ANC from your factory amplifer. ANC is used to make your Drive quieter by simulating road and engine noise. But Provo is right, no-one can help without knowing the specifics

It's so frustrating because in Australia, the same car is put together completely different. There's no wiring in the pillars, none. There's no rubber grommet on the engine bay for firewall passthrough. Even all the wires are different colours.

Would it be safe to assume that a 2018 Hyundai Sonata is going to be wired the same. Everything looks the same. Do you have a schematic for that car rear b billar as well?

He didn't have to, his amp had a high level speaker harness so all he had to do was tap into the speaker wire going to the right rear door speaker. Alternatively you can buy a signal converter that does the same thing ...it allows you to tap the speaker wire in your car and covert to an RCA so that you can connect directly to your amp without having to access your head unit.

You said you ran the remote turn on wire to the amp… where does the remote turn on wire come from?

The add a circuit link is a bit confusing to me. If you tapped the spare fuse and it's on ignition switch why do you need the add a circuit. Did you wrap the remote wire around the spare fuse on the left prong? I am just trying to understand before I stalling. Thanks in advance

We made our own add-a-circuit. We suggest you purchase one yourself, and no, we didn't just wrap the wire round the fuse prong. Using an add-a-circuit allows you to pull power from the front of the fuse box safely instead of just shoving the wire into the fuse box. It fuses the run to our own circuit.

@@goosem4554 The remote turn on function in most cases will only pull 1 amp or less, so while a 15 amp fuse would work, it isn’t as safe as using a 1 amp micro fuse or the more commonly available 3 amp micro fuse

Good video. I have the touchscreen in this year model want to run an LC7I. I have to tap to all speakers can I access all speaker wires on that b piller? Or does that just hold the right speakers ?

Do you need an amp to set up a subwoofer? I’m trying to install subwoofer to my 2023 sel elantra and I can’t seem to find videos on it other than yours for the previous models, if possibly how would I be able to setup just the subwoofer?

Does the sub sound good in the trunk? Cause I have a smaller 10 in and i don’t feel bass in the trunk unless I put it in the back seat

Way too many variables there. Most likely you don’t have the right sub paired with the right amp on the right electrical. Can greatly vary based on the signal it’s getting, where gains are set, etc. lots of variables.

Have you done a high output alternator on a 2017 or 2018 Hyundai Elantra? I currently have two skar evl d2 12 on a cab 2200 and a Rockford fosgate 500.4 for my door speakers. I also have a spare agm battery in the trunk that powers the cab 22. I want to eventually get a cab 4500. I just know with the stock alternator it won’t be enough. I know I can get an alternator fro brandX but I worry about the vehicle ecm. I know I need to do a big 3 but the negative battery terminal on the main agm has some kind of fuse attached to it. If you have any videos of that I would appreciate it. I can’t find any videos of that for my 17 Hyundai Elantra.

I have the same car I highly suggest you get either a lithium battery your stock alt will be enough to keep it charged as long as you don’t hook them together then you’ll have a battery entirely dedicated to your sound. I’ve been looking for an upgraded alt but they are hard to find for this car. Was running 2 vxfs of a 3k in the process of swapping to 3 10s so that should be plenty assuming you have an amp matching the evl

@@256jayy3 I have an agm under the hood. I hooked up another agm in the trunk that powers the cab 22. My agm under the hood powers the car stuff and I have a 500.1 for my door speakers. So you think I should get a lithium under the hood and in the trunk? Even with that I would like to get a 4K but would I still need to get a high output alt? Brand X says they can make an alt but I heard that with the cars computer it still would not let the battery charge above 12 volt.

How big of a amp can you put on that stock alt?

Depending on your engine size, factory alt puts out about 120 amps max, so between the factory electrical draw, and the additional draw of your amplifier, you are safe for around 1000ish watts RMS (70ams) before more upgrades are needed. Be sure to have a healthy battery.

My amp stays on too, as soon as I plug in the speaker from the door, it stays on and wont shut off, my amp has high level imputs also, did you get yours fixed?

That's why he wired the remote wire to an appropriate fuse in the fuse box. Not all of those fuses lose power when the car shuts off. Did you look up which fuses to tap into?
