When you come to Australia you'll see we've embraced large diesel dual cabs with mountains of torque. The ranger is the truck of choice and hits the stereotypes talked about here. Tailgaters, speeding, muscling hatchbacks off the road, idling in front of houses for 20 minutes and the majority not being used for actual towing. Also your videos are getting harder and harder to watch in public 😁. Keep up the awesome work.

When I was a mechanic my boss had one, with a very nice interior...and it was the only vehicle his family owned that never had a single issue ever. I hated changing oil on it though...we had to use the heavy duty dual post lift for it because it was just to big for our drive on and swing arm bays. And it is a diesel...which meand oil is dirty af...and takes a ton cause it is a huge engine. Still...I dont care much for trucks but that thing was nice. Only truck I have ever liked more was the Dodge RAM SRT10. His wasnt a bro truck tho...just the highest end OEM version with every option. Black on chrome. I think it even had OEM fender flares.

That's completely different than my experience. 2013 4500 (granted it had 190k mostly highway on it) new turbo, 2x transfer cases, electronic throttle control, exhaust manifold cracked, suspension pretty much all replaced. In the grand scheme it's not a lot, but it's still a few big things.
@AaronHendu
@AaronHendu 11 ай бұрын
@@CCPJerBear He babied his truck...he owned several shops and had us maintain it, and he only ever used it for towing, it didn't see any offroad use or anything...well, he used it to tow his snowmobiles so I am sure it saw some real minor offroad. But it was definitely a well taken care of vehicle. We did have to replace the headlamps pretty often, which were pricey HID units. We went with an aftermarket driver for the lights and they still failed just as quickly. It was just the HID lights that sucked, I think. They would last a year or two before they went out.

7:50 - If I were Mr. Regular, I'd also be revving one of these too high. It's such a departure from the 6.5K rpm redline we're used to in most gasoline-powered nuggets. It's easy to forget the enormous internals on these engines are under huge stresses past 2K RPM, which isn't conveyed very well by the sound they make.

Especially not in the vee config they've been in since the 6.7. I6s, and the fact the 5.9 was glorfied 80s tech, really didn't sound healthy when you wound them out, but the big V8 ones like this or the Duramax/Power Stroke equivalents really don't sound stressed when they wind out.

You certainly buy diesel trucks over gas for mileage if you're hauling or long-hauling. The amount of mileage difference, especially hauling, is so great that it pays for itself. Rich at Deboss Garage just did a video on his CAT swapped F350 that mentioned the unladen mileage difference between its stock 460 and the 3406 CAT even with the massive increase in weight being at least double.

I agree with the other commenter. You shouldnt stop acting out, its a part of your channel identity. I feel like its a part of who you are. Awhile back I remember you stating in the live stream when you were fixing your computer and you were rsther depressed and burnt out and you stated that you been making the same videos for 8 years. I suppose the format is sorta the same. But over time the way the video were layed out differently with inprovements. What im tryna get at is all your videos are different enough to where I think some of your video are funnier then others. Some have a super philosophical moment then others. There a few videos of yours that i go back to from time to time to laugh at it. Even some of you and Romans podcast I go back to on occasion. All your videos are not the same. Their all unique in some way or another and will make us laugh, or touch our hearts. I hope You and Roman keep doing what yall are doing. Cause I personally love what you do. I think your a pretty cool dude. Keep yo the great work.

@@w.e.s. It sure is. I threw my hands in the air when 3-4 YT channels including this one were "giving away" the same red Corvette... odds are STACKED, entries are extremely overvalued. That's on top of the actual giveaway cars NOT being reliable examples, where tons of mods have happened and no docs/history given to the "winner". LOL.

@@zippedmouthgaming5637 yes bc out of all the years nobody had claimed a vehicle. On top of that there is a fb group which his channel has been brought up many times. Idk why your takin up for scammers. Multiple people has caught onto this. Searches have been done nothing has been claimed. Raffles are actually a tax right off so technically if it involves money and say I donate to this channel in return for an opportunity to win a vehicle or you do the same and nobody wins and Ramon files all the income on his taxes for the raffles it is actually a federal crime if nobody wins it is a tax evasion.bc somebody gets a tax right off and nobody pays taxes on the won vehicle. So it's either tax fraud or its a scam either way its sorry

I have a 01 ram 2500 4x4 with an "H.O. cummins" and the NV5600 6 speed. The shift knob pattern issue is a easy fix. It's a cap that you pop off. And then pop in back in the correct orientation. Has nothing to do with the shift knob. I figured it out after 20 years. I had to use a pick to pop it off.

Driving a diesel truck with a manual is an interesting experience. You go from 800 to 1300 rpm quickly, but it's time to shift now, because diesel.
