I really hope I can get one of these beauties next! They seem like the perfect daily driver and fly a little more under the radar than the RS5. The B9 might also be one of the best looking cars Audi has ever made (in my opinion)

Love the car, I’ve had 2 of them. Ultimately sold them because it’s bloody massive and has terrible blind spots 😂. If I lived in America with their massive roads and parking spaces I’d have a whole fleet of them!

@@Jcstuart1 I live in America, the land of giant roads and parking spaces, and I'm trying to decide between an S5 and an M340i. Currently drive an A4. It is sad that even an S5 Sportback is small-ish compared to the land barges people drive here.

I barely ever subscribe to a channel after watching one video. With this one - I’m 5 minutes in and I’ve just subscribed. cannot be overstated how these cars are practically made for a chiptune. got the 2018 model from a previous owner so warranty was already void anyways. A simple ECU flash easily brings these to 400pk+ and 600nm+ torque which is crazy value. Added an intercooler and downpipe mod to my car for a stage2 ecu/tpu flash and it ran a whopping 470HP and 750nm(!!!!) on the dyno which was mindblowing if you consider the relative easy and cheapness of the mods. the torque is beastly, my jaw drops every time, even a half trottle pull at 3k rpm. an RS5 will always be the better car for the body and other more subtle upgrades, but in terms of value, feel like im driving supercar level power for the price a new golf GTI.

A stage 1 remap will bring an s5 to similar power levels as an Rs and if you really want to spend the extra you can have an s5 at around 700 bhp for similar money to a stock Rs, The only problem is that your going to void any warranty which is why I have left mine standard. I absolutely love the S5 we had the diesel a5 before this but it didn't come close to sheer fun this car is to drive and its actually really good on fuel win win.

@ivancliff25144 ай бұрын
At 7 minutes you did it actually put the car in sport. You set it to dynamic and then manual from “D” which is different than manual from “S”. In these new Audis the sport mode is separate from the dynamic setting and has to be engaged with the shifter AND on the dash. It’s annoying but that’s how it is. At least in my 9.5 S4 that’s how it is. It doesn’t auto default to sport just because it’s in manual mode.

Interesting review, I have a 2018 S5 sport back. I bought it pre-reg and have now covered 62k miles. Over 62k I have averaged 26mpg, which I am completely happy with. I have been thinking of changing the car but only because I’ve had it for so long, but honestly not sure what I would replace it with. I did think RS5, but I think it may be too uncomfortable. I’ve owned BMWs before and I am no longer interested in losing the back end on a greasy roundabout. I did think Macan, but I’ve never driven one and whilst comfortable, I’m not sure it would feel as good in the bends as an S5. Keep up the good work 👍

I drive a B9 S4 and even though i do sometimes price up the RS4, it just isn't enough of an upgrade to justify the additional purchase and running costs. I came from 3.0 BMW's, and to be honest the stock looks and interior of the audi are far superior, unless you go to an M car or 8 series BM.
