Excellent video Sir! You are right to call out everything you find with the fit & finish, one person''s cosmetic niggle might be another person's deal breaker... an people who are never objective about their favourite brand lose trust in the end. I'm so excited waiting for mine to arrive :-)

Nice knife, thanks for the video.. On a knife in this price range I would like to see the liners made of brass and the scales dovetailed under the bolster that way you do not have the issue of a gap between the scale and the bolster. And that is not hard to do just cut the parts at 45 degrees and push them home.

labrat7357 Thanks. The standard liners for GEC knives are brass. This is/was a special factory order. Lots want an all steel knife for heft and the way the knife ages. If I’m not mistaken, steel is also period correct for a Barlow. I’m always for innovation and improvement. I don’t think I’ve seen any traditionals with a dovetail? I’ve only owned 1 custom though. Are there production brands that are dovetailing?

G’day I have zero experience with regard the correct employment of this knife blade style; however, I envisage it would be employed predominantly in draw cuts if this is the case (and I’m referring to this blade style in general) would there be a tendency to overly wear the tip of the blade and; therefore, change the profile of the blade. Or would the wear be so minuscule that it wouldn’t be an issue Edited to combat the evils of auto correct.

Nice one bud...did you happen two get two TC's by any chance?

ADAM HENSON I didn't. I wish I would have seeing as how GSJ listed them for $135 after the initial drop. Not knocking him. They're his to do with what he pleases. I'm just sad I didn't recognize that the original price of $87 was as insane as I thought it was.

kcbeem123 Yeah, sorry. I should have been more clear. I was speaking past tense. They stayed on the site for about 30 minutes. I thought about it, but couldn't swallow the upcharge. I should have just bought 2 from the beginning.
