I'm so glad I found your channel. I live in a small southern town and without the Internet would've never heard of GEC knives. Now it looks like we're reliving a time of high quality slipnots again. You do a fantastic job with your videos. Please keep them coming.

Good to see "old school" knives appreciated and respected, they still are a real life EDC option. I personally am sick and tired of all the crazy, over built, silly, useless knives everybody is promoting. Old school is good. Great video Randy.............

I'm starting to really fall for the older more traditional style single bladed knives like the Case, Great Eastern Cutlery and Queen Cutlery's, especially the sheepsfoot models. I saw a knife by QC the other day called a "Joe Pardue", I think that will be the first of many to come.

Great vid brother. I have the same one ( if you didn't see me post it on instagram ) only in blood red jigged bone, and I love it, I carry it prob 4 out of 5 days at work ( the other is my Viper ). Your right about GEC knives being addictive, I just learned about them back in January, and have those two, plus a Northwoods forest jack, and Madison Barlow clip point in ivory.....I love them all, and can't get enough!

I've got several of these, but like you, I also missed out on the TC Barlow's with the clip point blade. They were released right about the same time I first discovered GEC. Any Barlow knife is stouter, because if ya look inside the knife, you will see the rivet that attaches the bolster to the frame, is farther away from the blade pivot pin vs. a regular bolster, where the the bolster rivet & blade pin are much closer together. That wider spacing of the 2 connecting points in Barlow's makes for a better distribution of lateral force created from the pressure of cutting something, which gives the Barlow's a stronger bolster to frame construction. I will never understand why anyone would associate a knife, which is a cutting tool, with a pry bar. That's why we have DIFFERENT tools. If some young punk is too lazy to reach for a pry bar or screw driver, then they deserve a broken knife blade. It's just sheer stupidity & laziness. If anyone wants, they make those knives with all the other tools built in. Great video. Gotta love GEC.

Hey Randy, old vid, but I do have a long pull clip TC in sawcut bone(no tube though) if you are still lookin. I'm really only lookin to trade for other TCs that I don't have, preferably 2 blade versions. Hit me up if you have any and we'll talk. Take care-jon

All of the first run TCs were spear point. Didn't come out with a clip till the second and third runs.
