Yes, a BMW with the "M" Designation on its butt should most definitely perform on the track. You may want to google what the "M" stands for on a BMW before you post your next comment.

This car does have LC, not sure why it wasn't used. Either way, a brake-torque launch with a 5.18 0-60 is impressive! This car uses the same exact engine as the BMW M2. 5.18 is faster than the M2, Focus RS, S3, Golf R, Shelby GT350, Camaro SS, and the Mustang 5.0 you guy's tested!

George Davidov unfortunately no it does not use the N55 motor found in the M2 the X4M40i uses the B58 motor

There’s absolutely no understeer if you’re using your paddles correctly. It is an engineering masterpiece, active dampers to Prevent roll, x drive sucks you around corners if you throttle through them in a locked gear… Like i said. Stick to racing minivans.

M40i is just an M performace vehicle, has nothing to do with M power. And why didn't you use launch control? It features in every BMW with paddle shifters.

Rob Fsociety It was a horrible review. I liked the heavier set guy that use to do the driving test. He seemed to be more grounded and serious about what he was doing and didn't think everything was a joke.

I've just always thought that if you want a sedan then buy a sedan. If you'd like a crossover then buy a crossover with a useable tail. I've never seen the point of this vehicle, the X6, or the Honda Crosstour. They're not useful nor are the attractive.

They are competitors. The X4 M40i starts at 48k, the Macan starts at 52k. (Edit: Macan is probably less, since it's 52k Canadian).

To an extent, the cars are competitors. The Macan's base price is actually less than that of the Bimmer. However, the Macan's options cost more compared to the X4's. And while I could spec out a fully loaded X4 for $70k, I gave up on a Macan S after I reached $128,,000.

VTEC kick in If the TFL lap times had any veracity then they would have a logical order to them. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to be the case.

it's lighter has more HP, better balance and similar grip (R888's on the 911). The GT4 was not on it's Cup 2 tires (the owner had switched to Pilot Super Sports) and the adjustable anti-roll cars were dialed for too much understeer.

I can do a better launch than this, you can't launch it correctly in Eco Drive, duh. I need to give you lessons on using the Launch Mode in Sport+ or Sport+ Manuel.. Are you a Bias Benz driver that has nothing to compare. And stop comparing the X4 and X6, the X6 is bigger and stronger on purpose as BMW intended. My X4 M40 kills my Camaro SS always!!
