2017 BMW X5M Review (F85) - The Best Performance Suv?

The BMW X5M is a $100k+ super SUV. With an engine straight out of the M5 with over 550hp this beast is able to go 0-60 in less than 4 seconds. Is this the best performance SUV on the market?

Thanks for support Chad! The reliability video is one of my priorities. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to line the 4.8is to film. Its always either in use, or I'm busy. It will come out though, I guarantee that! I can give you a quick summary though: Although they're notorious for breaking down, the one reviewed hasn't been that bad. In its current ownership, other than basic wear and tear, the valve stem seals had to be done, along with the transmission valve body seals. The stem seals costed around 3k, the job to the transmission was about 600$, IIRC. For the video, it will be a lot more comprehensive, detailing what to look out for, and the average cost of ownership per year for maintenance, which is about ~1k-2k$.

@@WestVanGarage Thanks that helps a lot. I was planning on $2k a year anyway so that isn't too bad. I am currently looking for a decent one but many are beat pretty bad. The best seem to be out west (I am in Ontario) so I might have to consider shipping costs as well. Anyway looking forward to the video :)

@Pieter-Bas Schlaghecke Then I do indeed envy you! I have the F15 M50d, but would really like to drive the V8. Unfortunately, I drive 30-35tkm per year; it would be really(!) expensive to use the petrol engine instead of the diesel one.

didafm Super reliable! I’ve had my 2018 X5M since new (48k miles now) and no problems so far. I’m also tuned, running downpipes and Meth and the thing has been bulletproof (aside from some brake squeal which was fixed when I took it in for its first service) This is my first SUV as I came from a Porsche 911 GTS (991.1) and I’ve loved it so much that I have a Tanzanite Blue F95 X5M Competition on order!

Prometheus i have got The x5m f85 to but not bulletproof That is a bit to expensive for me 😂😂
