Your video helped me a lot. The short socket from Autozone was the berries ! I took the lower intake off also. A little tough to thread new sensor in . I didn’t replace thermostat but sensor fixed my 2018 XT5. Took a good hour and done. Thanks man !

But, how did you get the new one in? I can't get it to catch the threads

How did you know the sensor was the issue?I have the same make & model,ac isn't blowing cold.

I paid $490 for total sensor job, and $385 for new thermostat. That was 3 years ago. I hated this P.O.S from now on its Lexus, or Acura.

It shows cold coolant and AC dosent work, so i take ground of the battery for a minute than put back and everything works for a trip,

Did this. It did fix the coolent reading right away and AC back functioning. But set my electronics back a bit. Tire pressure gauge went blank and don’t see a way to get my E-W direction on the screen. 2017 XTC.
