2015-2020 Escalade Tahoe Denali cooling fan won’t turn off? LS 6.2 Coolant temp sensor replacement

If your 2015 to 2020 Cadillac Escalade Chevy Tahoe, GMC, Yukon, Denali and others coolant fan stays running after you turn off the vehicle? It’s likely it could be a bad temperature sensor. The computer goes into failsafe mode thinking it’s hot and let it cool down for an extra long time. Changing the sensor, and unplugging the battery for 10 seconds resets the computer. And everything works back to normal. Cost of temperature sensor was $15.99.  install time was about 15 to 20 minutes.

@@gtarules1 yes it did. I only changed the thermostat at first, and had to go back in a week later to replace the temperature sensor. Better off doing them both at the same time.

unplugged my battery and re connected it and it was working fine again , just a temo fix for now

No mention here of the fact that Definitely a good amount of coolant was drained from the system prior to replacing the ETC sensor, And was put back/replaced into the system afterwards, I've seen Many/most making an unnecessary mess by Not doing this prior to replacing this sensor.

I did not have that problem. I replaced it quickly and did not miss much fluid.

Same thing happened to me, then i unplugged the battery for 30 seconds and the computer reset and it works correctly.
