I'll give you an update on my 2018 300S Hemi. Thus far I've installed 1& 7/8 inch stainless works long tubes with their mid pipes and high flow cats with all stock exhaust and 3.09 Limited slip. I purchased a new bare block and have Arrington building a 448 complete engine with fully ported big valve heads and ported 6.1 aluminum intake and their throttle body and cam combo. They will do the entire install and dyno tune on car. I was shocked at the difference that the 3.09 rear and headers made. Can hardly wait to drive the completed car.

I just bought a 300c platinum, was curious as to how it runs. Ran across this video and your posted times stock and then after mods. That is pretty impressive. Bone stock you ran 13.50's?

Yes completely stock. Broke into the 12s with a tune. Haven’t been to an actual track yet, but the on board timers are definitely accurate for what they are. Might me slightly off compared to a strips time. I know a couple who have gotten 13.2 at an actual track completely stock and some have broken into the 12s with a stock 5.7 and different gears.

@@ceramicgrey300s9 thanks for the quick response. I knew the car felt pretty dang good, I have had some experience with with the hemi and tuning them to run good. I played with my 2016 crew cab 1500 and got in to run 12.79 at 104. Single exhaust, stock throttle body, stock manifolds, and a few bolt-ons. Jay Greene did the engine and trans tune for me. Because of that truck I searched for this car pretty hard. Found it 5 hours away and it only had 22k miles on it. Not bad for a 2017. I suspect the open diff and traction form the smaller tires are going to determine really how i can get this to run stock. I will give some updates on the build as I go. Should be pretty interesting considering how well I made the crew cab run. Thanks for your videos and info!!!!!!

@@2200pathfinder Thank You! The 2.62 open diff definitely limits this car and what it can do at the track. I’m looking into the 3.09 LSD which should really get this car into the low 12s. I have longtubes and a custom engine and trans tune right now, just waiting to get some different gears.

The stock timers on these cars are super close to the dragy. I’ve seen some videos comparing the two and the stock timer is off 0.01-0.1 compared to the dragy.

@@gearhead4005 long story, but my original set were 20x10.5 and 20x11 w 275 and 315s. Had a 3mm spacer with no rubbing. Now I have the same setup up from but changed it in the rear to 20x10.5 and 305s with the 3mm spacer still no rubbing. But I lowered the car on mopar springs so there is a tiny bit of fender rub on bigger dips. Nothing major at all

@@mattieice4689 congrats on the car! The steps are very simple, though it may sound complicated. Since you’re planning on adding the 3.09s you should definitely be low 12s. 12.3 ish range if your in a good DA 1.) Purchase a Diablo handheld tuner from DiabloSport and either swap your PCM or purchase an unlocked one. 2.) Purchase a HemiFever tune through hemifevertunings website. 3.)Tune the vehicle and data log. Follow directions from DiabloSport and HemiFever.

Very nice. Have you run this on a milder tune, eg 87 or 89 octane? I'm thinking of getting a 300 vs a new Scatpack. I was disappointed to be reminded that the SRT Chrysler was dropped after 2014--I was wanting a 2016 or newer for the 8-spd and updated uconnect, but I guess that doesn't exist. Now I'm debating buying a new Scatpack or a loaded used 5.7L Chrysler. Pros Chrysler: Panoramic roof, classic/muscular American luxury styling, probably a more comfortable ride, cheaper, Chargers are everywhere. Pros Scatpack: 6.4L glory, wide body. Tough call. Your video has me convinced the 5.7L is sill a pretty strong candidate.

Only other runs I’ve done are when the car was stock and on 89. I’d get around 13.5-13.6 @ 105. I was actually in the same situation as you. I wanted a 2012-2014 srt but I didn’t like the transmission, gauges, And uconnect. Went ahead with a newer 5.7 just because they have a lot of potential modification wise, plus a 392 doesn’t come with the panoramic roof, adaptive HIDs, etc, which I really wanted. I now have longtube headers and a tune, and I’m running 4.2 0-60 and 12.7-12.8 @ 107-109 mph. Very healthy for only having headers and a tune. I’m still running stock gears too so I’d say i could probably run 12.3-12.6 with some better gears and a radial. It’s been done before lmao. The car surprises alot of people, especially charger and challenger owners.

@@ceramicgrey300s9 Awesome, thanks for the input. I'm not chasing crazy speed, I just like having enough power to pass quickly on 2-lanes and be able to put annoying traffic in their place. My current daily driver is a 2011 Chrysler 200 V6, which has been very reliable and surprisingly quick/fun for a mainstream fwd sedan; but she's crossing 200k miles soon so I'm thinking I'm ready for something newer and bigger. Also, I'd love to have the sound of a V8 again!

@@ceramicgrey300s9 Did you have to buy a new computer when you got the tune? In the Wrangler world, I think after 2014 the computer had to be unlocked (or possibly switched out) before you could program it, and it wasn't cheap.

@@omgcool7206yes you have to either get an unlocked pcm or swap it. I swapped mine because it was the cheapest. Cost 520$ for the swap and the Diablo tuner. I ran the tunes that came with it for a while, but then got my own custom tune.

So please help me. How do you have launch control. Did you use alfa obd. I have a 2020 300s 5.7 and i got long tubes coming in and 3.09 rear with scat axle, drive shaft and ported scat intake. Just need lauch control

I didn’t use launch control in this, I just brake boosted it. Although I have launch control through my Z Automotive Tazer it doesn’t work. It just spins the tires.

Also was running 93. I know that takes timing away if your car isnt tuned for it so tune is coming. But i was just wondering

I'm very interested in everything you've done to this car. I have a ripped charged 2016 V6 300S. I am looking for a Hemi version. Money is no object to me and i will likely pull the engine when I get mine and send it to Arrington for a 410 conversion and fully ported heads. I want mine to run 11s with quiet exhaust and good road manners. What would you suggest?

Personally if my goal were like yours to run 11s with a quiet car with good road manners I would go ahead and grab some longtube headers with high flow cats, some type of performance cam with lifters, springs, pushrods, phase lock/limiter, port the heads, change out the intake manifold as well as the air intake, 3.09 gears, 180 tstat and a custom engine and trans tune. You should be running mid 11s with a set up like that. If you want to keep the car pretty quiet keep the factory exhaust but add the longtubes. I wouldn’t stroke the engine unless you goal is to be as quick as possible, then I would add forced air after stroking it and doing everything listed above. My car is running mid-high 12s right now. I have longtube headers with high flow cats, glasspacks and a custom tune. I’m running high. 12s in this hot ass weather. Hopefully in the winter time I’ll be mid 12s

@@ceramicgrey300s9 Many thanks. I will follow you advice for the most part, but will still go with the stroked all forged 410 Arrington motor. The extra 65 cubic inches should be worth at least 85 more HP given all the other mods. If it puts down 485 to 500 to the wheels with the 3.09 gears and some really good tires that should get me in the 11.70 range. I will stay in touch to let you know.

Your description says your top speed is 151 after the tune. Is that really the most it will do or is that just the fastest you had it?

Before the tune it was limited to 128-131. 151 is as highest I’ve had it. I’m thinking it will top out around 175-180. I’ve seen a couple with no speed limiter hit 170. I now have longtubes so it shouldn’t be an issue.

@@ibeChristian yeah the 300s with a hemi is so hard to find. Main reason I got an s was because everything was already blacked out and the s had the SRT appearance. The 300c interior is still super sweet. I loved the wood and the leather wrapped dash and doors.

Night and day difference even from the Diablo canned tune. Can’t say he’s better then others, since he’s the only person that’s tuned my car, but you won’t be disappointed. If you do go through him make sure to get the engine and trans tune. They will compliment each other
