Has anyone noticed that the 6speed gearbox is located about 3-4 cm far to the front? I mean that when you put the 4th is where you would had a zero speed in a different car. I bought a c3 aircross and this is the only disadvantage i see. I have to straight up my hand in order to put the 3rd or 5th.

I noticed a weird noise every time you used the gear shifter. Was it coming from the driver seat, the gear lever, or it was just background noise?

No worries, just wet shoe on the pedals when engaging the clutch. :-)

The C3 Aircross has a very nice looking alloy wheel design, however due to the winter it didn't have those.

Ups, der Teil war eigentlich nicht geplant. Hatte ich schon markiert zum "entfernen" und dann doch vergessen. Jetzt wollte ich das Video noch editieren und ich glaube es wird komplett kaputt sein und ich werde es wohl nochmals hochladen müssen. Naja, beim Drehen passieren auch mal Patzer und die seht ihr dann am Ende eigentlich nicht. Licht, ganz klar Contra Halogen und PRO LED!

Hm das ärgert mich nun aber dir extra Arbeit beschert zu haben, mich stört es kein bißchen! Nochmal zum Thema Licht, hab einige Auto Kanäle aboniert und es spricht dort niemand davon. Dabei ist (gutes Licht) eines der wichtigsten Kriterien neben den Reifen. Daher mach weiter so sehr guter Kanal hier.

Eigentlich gibt es in DE nur 4 Auto-Kanäle, die ich schaue (manche sehr selten). Bei Autophorie hat es sich mir etwas zu sehr Richtung Selbstdarstellung durch die weibliche Moderatorin entwickelt (alle Thumbnails), bei Autogefuehle pikiert es sich immer an Leder, Ausfahrt TV schaue ich immer noch am meisten und MotorWoche finde ich vom Edit einfach am Besten. Jeder Kanal hat Vor- & Nachteile, ich versuche mein eigenes Ding zu machen. Teilweise sehr schwer an Autos zu kommen (da ich nicht direkt über die PR Agenturen der Hersteller gehe, sondern über lokale Händler) und ein weiterer Punkt ist, dass ich dies als Hobby betreibe und alles alleine mache. Ich kann z.B. nicht auf Strassen fahren und das Auto von Aussen filmen, da one-man-show. Aber wegen dem Licht, ich bin da ehrlich von überzeugt, dass Licht eigentlich wichtiger ist als so manch andere Ausstattungsdetails. Leider geben Leute eher 800-1000 Euro/CHF für den Lack aus, als für gutes Licht.

Ja diese 4 Kollegen sind bei mir auch auf der Liste, gibt aber auch noch einige andere wie z.B. Autonotizen.de und Autohub. Letzterer ist ein recht lustiger Geselle, da mal reinzuschaun lohnt sich! Ich finde dein Format überzeugt, teilweise sogar mehr als als das der hier aufgeführten. Dazu bist noch Einzelkämpfer, Respekt! Bilder von den Autos kann ich mir Life oder im Internet anschaun wenn nötig da braucht man nicht jede Einzelheit zeigen. Was aber wichtig ist das du mitunter auch kritische Töne anschlägst.

Stimmt, Autonotizen hab ich auch abonniert. Autohub war mir neu, aber auch mal abonniert. Danke. Den Vorteil (auf KZbin), den die grossen KZbinr haben ist, dass sie mittlerweile die Autos testen können, bevor sie auf den Markt kommen. Ich kann dies bisher nicht. Auch werden sie zu Tests eingeladen und können somit Reviews weit früher online stellen, als sonst möglich. Wenn sich diese Möglichkeit irgendwann auch einmal bei mir ergeben sollte, glaube ich, dass es sich sehr positiv auf die Zuschauerzahlen und views auswirken wird. Kritisch ist nicht immer einfach, aber ich bin auch der Meinung, dass es eigentlich keinen schlechten Autos mehr gibt. Jedes Auto hat gute und weniger gute Aspekte. Bei manchen überwiegen halt die einen die anderen. Das macht den Unterschied. Und ich spreche ja auch immer aus meiner Sicht (z.B. Tempomat ab 30km/h, Halogen, usw.), das kann bei anderen gar keine Rolle spielen.

Cruse control vs speed limiter is a safty feature and I think it is a good one because you don't want "auto throttle" when driving in 30 km/h zones because they don't come up with those zones for nothing. Another thing, why do you want to change the *automatic* climate control value when it is cold? You just have the same temperature you always want and the car will handle the rest, super easy! The important heating controls are still switches so they really made their homework at Citroen.

Personally I prefer that a cruise control starts at 30km/h for two reasons. Firstly, you can be sure you don’t accidentally speed (which is crazy expensive in Switzerland, even if it is only a few km/h) and secondly if my foot isn’t on the gas pedal it can be already idle closed to the brake pedal. Therefore I should be able to react faster compared to lifting the foot from the accelerator and move it onto the brake pedal.

Sherukka You are saying it. The climate controls are perfect. It's an automatic system, so you won't have to change the temperature.

Auto Review In this situation you put the speed limiter on 30 or 33. This way you can't go too fast, but you are also flexible and can go even slower. I have had this very same system in my Peugeot 208 for four years. It works perfect. It's very easy to handle. The same is by the way true with the knobs of the seat heating at the seat. You don't need to look at them. You handle them intuitively by just feeling them.

Why do you think that halogen lights should be outlawed?

Because they are not up-to-date anymore. They cannot reach as far as Xenon/LED, the yellow colors make it tiring after some time at night for the eyes, they don’t show as much detail as Xenon/LED and they look old and antiquated. Other than being cheaper for car manufacturers to equip a car with, there isn’t any reason to still have them around. Furthermore the possibly to change light bulbs is not given in most cases, as only few can even change a light bulb themselves nowadays or the engine space design is so packed that you cannot reach them either way and still have to go to the garage to get it changed. So, no point in having them still around...

They can reach every bit as far as with Xenon/LED, that is not right sir! :) The tiring bit is also so far fetched that I don't agree on that point either. I hope the LED lights longevity is a reality but I fear that they are as bad as normal LED-lights you can buy for your house, won't last. PS. I've got LED daylight running lights and they are still fine after 100 tkm but heard of many that have had their LED-lights (expensive!) replaced. Here in Europe when the lights have been tested (LED), they found out that in reality they are nowadays worse than when we had Halogene light!!! It is true, but so sad. It is the implementation that counts, not the technics used. Don't worship technics!

Top Review für eine One-Man-Show. Ich finde auch, dass der Wagen innen und außen sehr schön designt ist. Die Qualitäten des Autos sind ebenfalls hervorragend. Nicht zu kleine Bedientasten wie im C3 sollten in jedem Auto vorhanden sein, das hat meiner Meinung nach nichts mit älterer Kundschaft zu tun. Bei einem großen Bildschirm kommt auch niemand auf die Idee zu sagen, der sei für Opas. Dann wäre Sitzheizung für Warmduscher und Klimaanlage für Weicheier. Ich finde, als Anregung, dass sich auch die anderen Auto-youtuber neben Autogefühl für ein Verbot von Tierhäuten in Autos einsetzen sollten. Auch das Thema Umweltschutz in Verbindung mit dem Auto findet kaum statt. Zitat ausfahrt.tv: "Das interessiert meine Zuschauer nicht". Zitat Autophorie: " In der aktuellen Legislaturperiode findet der Klimawandel in den USA nicht statt". Findet er auf den Autokanälen in Deutschland statt? Wird über PS-Zahlen über 150 PS kritisch berichtet? Wird über Abgaswerte informiert? Wird sparsames Fahren thematisiert? Wenig bis gar nicht. Stolz wird verkündet, dass man eben einen schweren Gasfuß hat und auch keine Lust hat, daran etwas zu ändern. "NEFZ mal eben wieder knapp verdoppelt". Ich finde, man kann Spaß am Autofahren und Umweltschutz sowie Ressourcenschonung kombinieren. Es ist höchste Zeit, dies auch zu tun. Die klassischen Petrolheads mit ihrem "stärker, schneller, aggressiver, größer, breiter, lauter" sind ein Auslaufmodell, das sich unsere Erde nicht mehr leisten kann und wird. Bagatellisieren und vom Auto ablenken mit dem Hinweis, dass ja Flugzeuge und Schiffe und Industrie und die Amerikaner und Chinesen viel schlimmer seien, bringt uns nicht weiter. In jedem Bereich geht es darum, lebensfreundlich zu werden.

Agree, those were the winter alloys, the C3 comes actually in the highest trim level with some nicely designed rims that are larger.

Great review of the C3 Aircross. Happy new year Patrick. Look forward to more reviews in 2018. The extra bright headlights should be banned. They are a serious distraction in urban areas to the majority of other drivers who have regular headlights.

Thanks a lot. Happy New Year to you too. It's not about extra bright headlights, it's about extra weak ones. And Halogen lights are usually pretty weak compared to Xenon/LED and from a design point of view LED let's you do so much more!
