Hey thanks for doing the video. I currently have a GTI and am looking to to into something I've never had before (I've had 3 GTIs). I personally love the coupe in blue.

Can you switch out the rear bumpers?

I think that the coupe looks much better! the spoiler really makes it look nice! good review 💪🏿

IsThatChad Honda Reviews thanks i figured i would share. Many people know the specs si instead of rambling on to much about the cars or playing loud background music i kept it simple.

I like the Sedan for practicality but I like the coupe's rear end better. Tough choice for me.
@fastwrider7 жыл бұрын
Same here. But the coupes drive feels like the correct car in my opinion
@jimmydaves7 жыл бұрын
I agree. The Coupe looks more sleek and sporty; but the sedan seems to be more practical. I don't have kids so I don't really care about the back seat room. I was all set to buy the Civic Sport Hatch but can't find one in manual, so I've been checking out the Si. I think the Si is worth the extra 2500, however if Honda had made the Si in Hatchback, they would be selling them like crazy
@fastwrider7 жыл бұрын
jimmydaves hatch sport in manual. Nearly impossible to find even working for Honda i had one it lasted 2 days.. dealerships dont trade them either. Good luck
@jimmydaves7 жыл бұрын
I know this very well. I've been looking for a sport hatch manual since March! My dealer checked all Honda dealers in the entire State of Texas and couldn't find one in manual either. Just a couple of days ago, a dealer 200 miles away from me got one, but my dealer told me they are expecting a 2018 Sport Hatch manual in October (with a volume knob!)

I love the coupe's rear end design a lot. What really kills me though is the fact that I'm so tall my head barely brushes up against the headliner.

I'd like to see a Hatchback Si version with leather and LED headlights with 250hp for 2018. I believe Honda tones down all the Honda to keep the sales up on the Acura so I wont hold my breath.
@fastwrider7 жыл бұрын
Collin Hayle i agree that would be a perfect world. i look forward to seeing what else Honda throws at us. I am stoked about the Type R
@jimmydaves7 жыл бұрын
Very nice comparison video! I'm in the market for an Si and both of these models look good, but I have to say that the Coupe seems sportier and sleeker than the Sedan. There's something about the Sedan's rear end that doesn't quite flow with the rest of the car. I think the Coupe is actually more attractive than the Hatchbacks!
@dallastimebandits5 жыл бұрын
Never thought id say this, but i like the saloon more

rear bumper red one look nice , hate blue on, the un painted black
@sinleong19797 жыл бұрын
The spoiler in sedan is more of display? Seems no gap to allow air flow through like coupe
@fastwrider7 жыл бұрын
Sin Leong it doesnt necessarily need a gap in order to be effective. Many Manufacturers use spoilers that sit flush similar to what bmw does. It is just enough but I'm not a fan of the Sedan Spoiler😝😁
@m.berrada36967 жыл бұрын
FastdrivingJR i actually prefer sedan's spoiler. just looks kinda neat. luv'it

im not a honda fan, but this is the first "SI" civic im not really excited to see. Honda eliminating vtec just kills it for me....yes its faster than the previous SI, but popping that hood and not seeing vtec just kills it for me. They shouldve made a 1.5 DOHC I-vtec turbo engine that would really excite fans.

I think it should come with with Acura's 8 speed DCT transmission as an option.
@Alumnikiid7 жыл бұрын
Yippie True... dont even know how acura/honda can develop a transmission and only put it in 2 cars in terms of cost.
@fastwrider7 жыл бұрын
Yippie that would be cool. although wouldn't make sense because si have always been manual and adding weight would ruin it.. still a cool idea for those who can't drive manual or want a DCT
@royalplayasfor7 жыл бұрын
FastdrivingJR they might as well make them auto. sis always had vtec as well so that argument is null.
@Oldmansland17 жыл бұрын
Nope!! Nothing worse than watering it down by adding auto transmission option. It's a drivers car. Learn how to drive folks!
@yippie68627 жыл бұрын
I know how to drive and I also know it sucks driving a manual in city traffic daily! I also know a DSG can shift faster than anyone can with a manual. To each their own. Why does it have to bother you if Honda offers their 8 speed DCT? You don't have to buy one.

Gurbetçi Türk-67 i personally agree but it would have to be an si or R.. hatch sport right now isn't enough for me with basic setup.. these few features the SI has make a difference. many of my customers would buy the hatch sport if it had these few small things like touch screen screen and sunroof.
@FurkanSavas7 жыл бұрын
The sport plus has those things though but the availability depends from which country you are. The only thing it doesnt have is leather seat which is a little dissapointing.
@fastwrider7 жыл бұрын
Gurbetçi Türk-67 in m my country sport is equivalent to lx(base model) interior but Sport Touring highest trim level is CVT and priced at almost 30k USD.. no CVT for me😂

@RAY_FILET7 жыл бұрын
okay, I paid 21,000 out the door for the sport...so tell me, what the hell did Honda do to make this thing any better? that generic audio setup probably adds 1,500 - ,2000 so I really don't see how they've upped the performance.
@fastwrider7 жыл бұрын
ryan1380 1)bigger turbo, beefed up internals in the motor for performance. while numbers show nothing performance wise this will keep that power going for a longer period of time stock.. once you tune it this will be able to handle allot more power than your hatch sport. 2)touch screen sunroof and styling outside and inside.. the exhaust even sounds better than the sport but the dual pipes on the hatch are hot. 3) suspension brakes tires upgraded for handling. You even get an LSD! Result money well spent for a cheap sports car.
@RAY_FILET7 жыл бұрын
Damn... (crickets chirping)
@jaredbrown92537 жыл бұрын
Not to mention the limited slip differential and a suspension that's shared with the type R. If not a teeny bit less robust.

Can we test drive? I live in Roswell.
@fastwrider7 жыл бұрын
yboby Once we get heavy inventory im sure.. But these 2 no because they're owned by "Honda". Our first one we have for sale that will be in tomorrow, will be put into the showroom. They will test drive for serious buyers etc.. But for joy rides it will have to be the automatic equivalence(still fun).. As buyers never want test drive mileage on their new cars.. Especially with such high demand right now.

sedan
@subvet36687 жыл бұрын
The back of the sedan is horrendous with those oversized plastic fake vents. Looks like something you would see on a 90s Pontiac. Just ugly. I don't understand why they couldn't have made it similar to the coupe rear. Also the design of the sedan looks odd from the side like they took the coupe and stretched it and added 2 more doors instead of giving it a more traditional sedan look. Previous generations looked better. This one is so convoluted.
@vangxiong96437 жыл бұрын
The spoilers on both these cars look terrible.. so plain...the rear is also horrendous design... but the front looks very good tho.. but I wouldn't buy it due to the ugly rear... it's like a girl with no booty

if only it had about 30 horsepower and 70 lb-ft more, along with leather and xenon lights, it might have a chance. but it doesn't and probably never will. Honda failed again
@fastwrider7 жыл бұрын
Fields Carlisle Your simply talking about a flash tune for 93 octane. it's already been done with the 1.5t .. SI typically doesn't have leather but you can normally install a leather kit for a cloth seat. You can easily buy a LED headlight conversion.. At the end of the day most enthusiasts don't need many more features other than a sunroof and a decent entertainment System as long as it has a solid platform. the 1.5 Turbo and the SI has most of the internals from the new CR-V so we can expect to see some impressive Tunes without having to reach kill mode
@Fadic47 жыл бұрын
Fields Carlisle failed according to who??
@Itsnobigdeal4207 жыл бұрын
Fields Carlisle I wouldn't say failed not at all but it's not my favorite
@stonebarrington36477 жыл бұрын
So you have to flash a brand new car to get some horsepower it should have come with? And possibly void warranty. lol no thanks. At the end of the day most enthusiasts wish for more hp/torque.
@fastwrider7 жыл бұрын
you don't have to flash a new car. If you want more out of it you have plenty of options. Stock does feel like good power.. At my dealer we offer a Lifetime Powertrain Warranty that covers the turbo and more. If you stay STOCK you will get more security longevity regardless. Honda isn't in the race for the fastest entry level sports car but they did a fantastic job with looks power and gas mileage.You Pay to play, if power is the priority then the type R is available.

It wasn't my goal to compare this with another car.. Soon i will but this video was for buyers or people considering a SI, and for the enthusiast who is just excited about a new sports car. It isn't stupid, but hey we all have our own opinion and i appreciate yours lol :)
