Thanks for the video, I used a torx 9 like you mention on the video so I was able to remove all the screw but when I try to install the screw back on it kept slipping so I used the torx 10 and it work perfect

I wonder if it's actually a T10 then? I mean T9 is sort of an oddball size. it wouldn't surpise me if they're actually 10's but when untouched a T9 fits in there because of casting flash.

Hhhmmmm.. great finish or not, I don’t like buying if it’s not going to fit correctly. I’ll pass on Weapon X then. Thanks for the vid

Great video and info. One question - you noted that you did later file (?) the CF edge down to fit the bezel better, to eliminate the gap. What did you use to “file” the CF? An actual file, or dremel, or sanding? Also, did you file the upper leading edge of the cover, or the whole surface of that edge? Thanks!!

Thanks for watching the video. At first I did use a hand file so as to be careful not to take off too much, but the carbon fiber is a pretty hard material, so I switched to a dremel with a fine sanding drum. It worked better, but does need more care so as not to over do it. It's hard to describe what I did, but I did two things to get it to fit. There is a "tongue" on the cover that fits into the bezel, so I made that thinner but also shortened it slightly so it doesn't bottom out into the "groove" part. There were also other areas of the mirror cover I had to thin out as well. The factory bezal has these triangular shaped reinforcement pieces in the groove that can seems to bottom out the mirror cover. The process really only took a few minutes, and most of that was spent trial fitting and the choosing where to file.

I buy my covers from APR Performance, and they fit Perfect, only for Information. THX, nice Video

Hi Zuzzzi, with aftermarket stuff I have come to expect some re-work to make it fit perfect and was OK with what I got from Weapon-X but would have preferred not to do any work at all. I had never heard of APR performance and had a look at their site. Looks like good stuff, and if you say it fit perfect then that is definitely a plus.
