Hehe you know its right when it just makes you smile. Granted, more normal vehicles, but on our newer vehicles, we tend towards WeatherTechs made to fit floor mats. You might give them a call and see if they have a 488 one ready, or might even get a video off getting them made as not seeing 488 listed on their site yet. Been solid and well made, perfect fit on our vehicles.

Looks like they do Maserati, BMW, Lamborghini, Audi and Alfa Romeo as well, amongst others, BMW clearly don't think you are spending enough money when you buy a 7 series though, as they didn't include one. It's listed in the official accessories brochure though for twice the price as a standard CTEK branded one of the same model. Glad I kept the one from the Merc, it was really good, though the BMW does not eat batteries like my older W211 used to, so I've not had to use it yet

The yellow thing in the toolkit is to hold the spider top closed in the event you need to do a manual emergency closing since the latches wouldn't engage. It goes on the outside of the rear window. And the big torx is to unbolt the rear calipers if you aren't able to release the parking brake (Don't do it or you'll need to replace them!)

The funnel is for filling with a jerry can. Cause there should be an anti syphon mechanism, so the funnel bypasses it. That's the way it works on Fords anyways

I can confirm that, at least in the US, front license plates are required by law to at least be available for any sold vehicle. In some states a front license plate is required. It's stupid but I imaging it makes it easier to identify the car from traffic cams and by police.

For the carpet, why not just cut a section of basic carpet to fit? That's what Kris does with his Veneno down here, and I'm assuming with the other cars too. Even thought about doing that for mine after I freshen up the interior. Cheap, protects the OEM carpet, works.

I wish I could do that but the judge in my city is hard on speeding so I'm going to have to take it to state court. I got the mods4cars module for my 458 spider, and I can now operate top while moving, it keeps windows closed when top opens, it turns it into a 1 touch operation, and I can now open and close top from outside car. Definitely worth 300 bucks for my 458.

Rob that charger is made by CTEK they make chargers for just about every car there a great company I have one for my tractor. The 1-7 is the charge stages it does some battery checks and slowly ramps up the power and tapes off to a maintenance mode.

My normal, non-Ferrari 100EUR battery charger also has numbers on it, 8 I believe. It´s just how charged/discharged the battery is. If I´m not mistaken the higher the number the lower the Amps the charger sends to the battery, just to keep it topped off and not continuesly send maximum current trough the battery. At least that´s what I think, can´t guarantee it.

FYI, Rob not a Ferrari expert so you may have already looked into this but this is probably a programmable preference setting that you can turn off so it leaves them down. It is probably done that way as default because drop tops tend to be hard to hear conversations in with the windows down. Let me know if you find any such preference settings for the windows. :)

Völundr Frey Exactly. It's less secure, in a way. The plate is like a visible prisoner ID number, so you can be tracked everywhere. Not so secure in my humble opinion. And Colin, how much do you really trust cops? I mean, in the US, they shoot everyone (no matter the skin color, common myth), in the UK they take 5 years to respond to Middle Eastern rape gangs in Rotherham because they're afraid of being called racist, and everywhere, they "can't" find stolen items, including TV's cars, etc. Only if your car is stolen by a moron thief or joyrider will plates help catch them.

superspeedersRob could not find any stats to back this, after some research it actually seems like the goverment uses the front plates to collect more fines and tolls. I live in a 2 plate state, and was told when I bought my car that it was so the car could be identified by security cameras in a theft or seen by other motorists in a hit and run accident. Here is one example from 2012 "For example, in Colorado (a two-plate state) on the E-470 tollway around the Denver area tolls are collected electronically. One-third of the revenue collected in a 12-month period - $23 million - came from the ability to capture information from front license plates. Rob, what is your stance on vehicle insurance for your personal vehicles? I assume you get top of the line full coverage for everything for your high end cars, but the volt is just average insurance? How much is insurance for exotic cars?
