Dont waste your time watching this like I did. Its just him waving his camera around the engine compartment babbling without any concentration just to tell you at the last minute it was the starter and he changed it. Which anyone could come to the conclusion to with the symptoms he descibed. Was hoping to see the procedure of actually changing the starter which would have been a much more helpful video.

@Nate I haven't. Mechanic Saud it may be crank sensor. So I'll look into that

@@djflexx13 thanks for the reply, I’m taking it in here shortly. My guess would be a battery issue, definitely not alternator related. Fuses look fine, but it just may not be catching. Not sure tho, very odd.

Was thinking the same thing. trying to diagnose a no start no crank in the shop. Starter bench tests ok and i have voltage to the starter and trigger. WTF

I've got more of a question than a comment. I just finished watching your video and my car pretty much has the symptoms of the starter. I have the loud repeditive clicking, that wouldn't stop under the hood on the left side of the engine and kept clicking loudly accompanied by the hazard lights flashing and the dash reads " put the key closer to the steering column " to start. I couldn't open the truck or locked doors. When I pushed on the brake it felt stiff, it didn't give to pressure. I've bought 2 batteries in the last two years. Do you think it's still the starter? I'm convenced for over 6 months that it has to be a parasidic draw somewhere because of that. I just don't have the money to get it to a mechanic much less pay again for a mechanic to tell me that it's just the battery.

I have 2018 escape se also and car went into engine malfunction, wouldnt even attempt to crank or turn on, only electric would work Did some diagnostics and i had a relay that was ticking so bad you could feel it Was the relay the black one all the way closest to the head light But i got it towed and sent to the shop for free cas my gf just bought the car 7 days ago
