2017 Ford Focus ST Diesel - performance and economy in one? | Music Motors Ep: 7

The Ford Focus ST diesel is the rip-roaring answer to people who like cars such as the Golf GTD, Octavia VRS diesel or the Leon FR TDI but don’t like their price tags. With the same running-gear as a petrol Focus ST, does it keep up with the big brother? I put it to the test, from gigs to comfort - how does the Focus ST get on?
Music Motors isn’t like any other car-video-review, because this is from a musicians perspective. I find out more about the manufacturers, how well the car performs as a musicians car and usually have a funny moment somewhere. I’m not a professional video editor, however I enjoy making videos.. enjoy!

Mines coming up 3 years old next year and it’s never missed a beat! we’ve also had a stage 2 tune and it’s not a lot of money for the results given. 250plus bhp and 520nms . We came from a mk2 ST and iv never regretted it

Mid to high 30’s and high 40’s on a long run, in fairness on the motorways it sits at 80 all day like most do, but the smiles are all day because it pulls all way through the Rev band now 😍, 0 - 60 is not much different, 1st gear unusable when planting it so it’s just to get it moving, 3rd gear onwards however is 😳😳 and the limited top speed has been removed too

Great review, I'm torn between the petrol and this! I have read reviews that it feels faster than the 8.1 to 60 time because of the amount of torque. I shall go test drive one!

+Chris W definitely test one. Diesel has a different kick and much better economy. The petrol is wild, though.

Why mention the rs and the mustang or anything else as you are supposed to be reviewing the st diesel estate. And why can’t ford make a more powerful diesel that’s on the similar level as the rs and the st petrol?

Well I know some one got st3 diesal , and he was getimg 60-65 on motor way doing 70mph some times bit more. So you got that wrong or some thing wrong, with your car
