204 whp and 92 ft-lb. Stock bike weighs 441. Subtract about 14 pounds for full system, another 5 pounds for lithium battery, drop 8 pounds for CF rear wheel/rotor/sprocket, 5 pounds for CF front wheel/rotors, and 1 pound for rearsets and fender elim. Est. 408 pounds wet. 2.0 pounds per HP Or 1,102 HP per ton. Kind of ridiculous.

@YT1344 - There is knowledge to be gained in even the most mundane topics. In fact, we have seen the 'simple' task of an oil change destroy engines and cause crashes (from a loose drain plug). It's the little things in life the can creep up and cause you big problems. Having a proven structure to follow, every time, helps prevent these issues.

I agree. You can't say it , but I can...... K&N filters take way too long to get oil pressure after changing. I wonder how many heart attacks they've caused😥. Fill the filter before fitting or better still, use a genuine oil filter. 🤗

@Brock - Very impressive. I would be very interested in the Quick/Blip installation, and its consistency over time compared to the RR. Not sure anyone would have thought 204 hp out of this bike, even with MR-12. This set-up is just amazing, a winning package. We've had a few 70 degree days in Texas recently, hit the twisties, mixed in some wheelies, the bike just keeps getting better, all in stock form. At 194-204 hp (depending on which package is used) this bike's grunt & scream is destined for beast-hood, what an amazing piece of machinery. GIXZILLA, it LIVES!!

I used Alysin less that zero at 999 miles in my 2018 R1. Three thousand miles later with the Petron Plus additive here in South Texas the bike is running fantastic. I was just told to change it every 3,000-4,000 miles. At 599 miles I changed it with Yamalube15-50w Full Synthetic. Then before I had her dyno tuned I changed to Amsoil oil filter and Alysin. The last couple of days I’ve been watching your videos , and what I have to say is WOW! Awesome stuff! Talking about oil , have you ever used or heard of MILITEC-1 oil additive ? I’ve been using it over 10 years and love it. You should definitely look in to it . Less friction, smoother ride , just a great product over all. Last year put more than 55k miles on my 2014 FZ09 using it with Castrol oil 10w50 ( here in Los Angeles ) with no issues what’s so ever! It would be nice to see some numbers on the dyno when add to the oil. Thanks again for the great content on your channel.
@BrockDavidson
@BrockDavidson 6 жыл бұрын
Glad you like our vids. I have not tried MILITEC-1. It took us years to confirm an additive that truly worked for our application - so we stick with the Petron+. We have tested other additives that made a bit more power... but we also encountered clutch slip and a couple even produced corrosion of internal components. You haven't lived until you have wiped oil off of a rusty connecting rod or trans. gear.

Sweet. Just curious, what would it take $$ to get my ZX14R SE set up for land speed racing? I want to pass 200mph. It's a completely stock 2016 bike with 700 miles on it right now. I'm here in Ohio too, not far from 650ib actually by the filthy streets of Cleveland, haha. I know there's some regulations like a metal chain guard and such. I'm finishing some of my dad's bucket list items for him since he passed away last year. He never saw 200mph. Hence the reason I bought the ZX14R.

Brock, do you add the petron with every oil change ? Also, can you run the pro 21 < 0 by itself, without the petron? Next, how many normal street driving miles, with the occasional pull, do you recommend before an oil change with the pro and petron combination? Thanks in advance...
@BrockDavidson
@BrockDavidson 5 жыл бұрын
@Sprat Law Firm PLLC - this answers your Petron question: blog.brocksperformance.com/faq/how-often-should-i-use-the-petron-oil-additive-when-changing-my-oil/ and yes, the Alisyn can be run without the Petron. Oil change interval is a tough one to answer since one rider-botched pass can require an oil change. We travel 1500-2000 on the street and an occasional trip to the track. Hey Brock! Have you ever put Rotella T6 oil in a bike? I've used this with some Motorcote and even a little Lucas oil additive. But I'm sure you could test this hypothesis? I am quite the mad scientist when mixing oils together lol. Also what about lifetime oil filters? Like Flo or System1? I run a Flo and just the cost savings over a year pays for itself and I believe it works if not better than O.e.m. Do you rebuild engines? Like take a stock 750 and bore it out? Or is this something a specific engine builder would do? What about turbo? Are you adding one to this Gixer?

And NO of the 15K RPMs. At 14.8K, you are already a bit higher than recommended. What is sometimes difficult to understand, is that the stress on the components increases exponentially as RPM's increse, which can lead to premature engine failure.

hey Brock, what would the effect of RAM air have on the dyno run? can you simulate that on the dyno?
@BrockDavidson
@BrockDavidson 7 жыл бұрын
@Tim, although we can't properly simulate the ram air effects of a bike moving at "x" speed enough to tune - we can force some additional air in for giggles. It's typically a 2-3 HP gain, depends on the bike/airbox design and air filter. FYI: the gains from a modern sportbike airbox come from their use as a plenum (dead air space from the engine to breath from), an isolator to keep engine heat away from the inlets - then also, to facilitate ram air.

Hey Brock I have a question for you. I would think with drag racing you would be all about putting in a quick turn throttle. I put one in 2 of my 3 bikes. A 2017 ninja 1000 and a 2019 Suzuki GSX-R750 and for $80 for a G2 quick turn throttle it actually makes a noticeable difference. It almost makes it feel like the bike is more powerful even though it's just getting to WOT quicker. A little detail like that and a detail like a sprocket swap. A small detail here and their all makes a big difference. What's your thoughts on this?
@BrockDavidson
@BrockDavidson 4 жыл бұрын
In sportbike drag racing, the opposite is true. The rider must modulate front wheel height using throttle and clutch control. If the throttle opens too quickly, it becomes more difficult to modulate front wheel height. Of course, if the throttle is very slow, this is a problem also but most modern sportbikes are very good.

I'm a little new to bikes, just got my first in august. Running thin oil gives me the nails-on-the-chalkboard feeling and I'm just wondering if your theory of running thin oil is the same on all bikes, old and new, or just the newer bikes. You said you run thick oil in your harley, but not as thick as the manufacturer calls for. How do you determine the weight of the oil you need? I have a 1987 Honda Magna. Also, What could happen if you run oil that's too thin? Final question, I promise, is about the oil additive. What could go wrong and how do you tell if something is going wrong with the fuel additive?

Why putting a 0w oil if you add an additive which makes it becoming a straight 10w ??
@BrockDavidson
@BrockDavidson 7 жыл бұрын
Because if we use the additive in a thicker oil, the overall number would go up even higher...which increases drag/reduces acceleration. Our Aliysn oil is actually less than zero weight, which makes it a perfect partner for the Petron Additive.

Ok but I mean why putting ultra thin oil whith an additive that thicken it instead of directly putting a 10w oil ?
@BrockDavidson

Because the additive reduces friction, increases clutch life and helps protect the engine parts if the oil pressure drops - from wheelies etc. We don't know of any oil alone which does this.

@Danger Davefpv - Hello. I can't answer the question about your pipe, other than to say that if you want to truly make more power, that gains are to be found in replacing the OEM headpipes more than any changes you can make on the muffler side. We used the Mobil 1 for years. iIts a great oil and relatively inexpensive. We switched to our Alisyn Aerospace to extract maximum power and acceleration. Hey, Brock ;-) how long the oil light can stay on before damage is inflicted? The last time I changed oil and filter on my ZX6R the oil light stayed on for what felt like eternity, some no fun noises from the cylinder head appeared, in an act of desperation I decided to rev it and that seemed to have purged the air. The noise is gone, everything seems to be back to normal but I keep thinking about it. I use Militec 1 oil additive (produced in the USA and imported to Poland), I'd gladly see a review of it done by you and some hard dyno data whether it really works or not, it definitely makes shifting smoother and raises idle a bit.
