I love how everyone says what YOU should do to YOUR bike. I think it looks great and I’m sure it’s going to look even better. I just bought the 19. That vivid black all blacked out looks awesome. I’d add Smoked lens covers, HD nostalgic grips, Metzler front and rear tires, powder coat black front & rear stock wheels, Arlen Ness black low profile mirrors, Corbin low profile seat, remove crash bars, remove running boards and go with forward controls. Lower the back 2”, lower front 1 1/2”, Bassani full header true dual exhaust, Arlen Ness big sucker black air cleaner, and deeper rear bags, Ciro3D rear lighting kit, and a custom red & black old school flame paint job to follow.

I have a 2017 Street Glide Special. I ordered the Stage IV kit but after waiting for three months bailed on it. I installed the full set of screaming eagle exhaust pipes, air filter kit and ECM unit. I am very pleased with it. It runs incredibly smooth from clutch engagement all the way to redline. The sound of the pipes is quite pleasing to my ear. So my question is this. How would you describe the seat of the pants experience after installation of the stage IV unit? What does it feel like? I'm definitely going to order the stage IV kit as soon as I don't have to wait for it anyway. Nice vid, nice bike. Thanks for posting 🏍🤘😆

Great bike!! You are right. .. my RG w/ stage 4 plus 2 in 1 header D&D exhaust. Is 123 Hp. & 131.5 tork. awesome low bass rumble. Your bike looks awesome! Nice balance between black & chrome. Not too dark not too shinny.

What seat set do you have for the passenger. Just bought the Sundowner but wanted to be closer to the ground but still need a passenger seat wider and more comfortable than the stock seat (2018 Road Glide Special)

Love the open front fender. I have a 2016 RGS and LOVE IT. The front of the RG looks straight out MEAN coming at ya at night. I did 14 inch Factory 47 apes and love the comfort. Good luck and ride safe bro.

I'm waiting for this new engine to move down to the Dyna class. That being said, this is an upgrade I've been strongly considering. Questions, if I may, dear sir: 1) From a daily practical perspective: Let's say you're at 10 MPH in first, and you pin the throttle - can the bike get the power down the road or are you liable to fish tail and burn out the tiers? 2) 0-60 time, you recon? 3) IF you get this upgraded, then replace the exhaust with an after market, would you loose power of be about the same? Your machine looks awesome man... I have a 2017 RGS, Candied Hot Rod Flake with custom flames... its a wild paint... in the shade it looks Burgundy and in the sun it lights up like the Ruby Red slippers on the Wizard of OZ.... I recommend the rear bag crash bars. Face it, its only a matter of time when you slip on gravel and your Sled gets in that point of no return mode and down she goes... so if I can keep the road off my paint I'm a happy biker...I also put on Custom Dynamic 8" Plasma Rods on the rear for Run/break/turn,, lights up the rear end big time..there installed vertical between the bag and the fender.. ..little pricy but worth it..Peace Bro,,, DAWG from the Show me State,, MO. .. .

Like it, you hid the antena? how about clear LED strip lights on the bags and do you have lighted clusters for you instrument controls? I've done to my 2016 FLTRXS what I mentioned in addition to bars and highway pegs, LED driving lights and V&H 4.5 hi output exhaust love it enough that I'm putting on over 1600 miles a month without commuting to work. No engine upgrades on mine but will eventually do headpipes, intake and fuel processor. Great video!

Albert Harper Thanks man. I did tuck the antenna along the inside of the fender and under the seat. It cost $2.00 for the plug and I still get great reception. Your bike sounds nice look'n. Any links or videos on it❓

Wouldn't think the exhaust would make that big of a difference. My 17 sgs with same breather and aftermarket slip ons had 109 ft lbs on dyno with no motor work. My 18 rgs will be ready in a few days. I hope the stage 4 is worth it. How much does it change your torque curve?

Robert Hutchings I think that's mostly because it's a harley kit. Having the stage 4 kit put in when I got it keeps it all under warranty. You can bet when that warranty runs out I'll be going for a more aggressive cam and higher comp pistons etc...

EmeraldCityCarpenter, black mirrors with the Amber turn signals built in and keep them over top of bars not under. Also I love the chrome on a black bike. It Looks more expensive and classy versus dingy,old,goth, . I'd change floor boards to edge cut black and machined..or defiance collection. Maybe after market vendors like arlen ness, power performance, Good luck.

Got mine a week or so ago. 116 both numbers with the soft tune. I think break in and a hard dyno will get it up over 120 for both.

Scarlett You do not need to extend the wire harness, clutch cable or brake line when installing these 13" bars from Road 6 Customs. This only applies to the 2015 and up. I'm not sure on 2014 models. I've seen some guys successfully install 14" Factory 47 bars too.

bob clapper I'm right with you on keeping some chrome on this bike. I will not be blacking it all out. As for as getting 💯 HP for 2k that will be a challenge unless you can do the labor. You would probably be closer to $3,000.00. You could get really close with a Stage II Kit (Stage I + Performance Camshaft). There are two options to choose from beyond your Stage I. Stage II Torque Kit 92500047 Stage II Power Kit 92500058 Good Luck❗️

Thomas Hall It's hard to say. I've done a few long trips at high speeds and got as low as 195 miles out of the tank. I've also had a few tanks last 240+.

James Carter Kind of hard to say James. Seattle traffic is just as bad as California these days. Some days it's stop and go and others it's like everyone called in sick to work. The 13" bars are perfect for me and they handle nice. I just now finished up a ride over the mountain pass here in Washington (East over Highway 2). We were in stop and go, rain, high speed twisties and open straight aways and these bars didn't leave me fatigued after 150 miles. I'm 6'-0" and roll with a low profile seat so they are right at my shoulders.

What made you go RGS? I've been back and forth between a Street Glide and the new RKS so much that I cant make a decision. Now I'm finding out that these handle like a dream on the highway compared to the SGS.

Honestly it was the fairing. I like the look of the Shark Nose fairing better than the Batwing fairing. Some say it cuts more air but I am not totally sold on that. I've put plenty of miles on 2 different SG's and now on my RG and have been in the rain on both. I got a lot more wet on my RG than I did on the SG which told me that the SG is cutting more wind.

I tested a RG today man and I gotta say it handles way better than a SG. Maybe its personal preference but it's nice not having the weight on the bars. Going back tomorrow to do a back to back test to truly see what I'm gonna get.

Nice bike .Why don't you like the navigation ? Why not black out the mirrors ?I hope you joined the Harley rewards program .It saved me thousands on service when I did a stage I ,stage II audio and tons of airflow levers and floorboards etc . I don't believe they have pipes for the 114 ci yet Those aftermarket pipes and tuners may void your warranty ,so be careful with that. Remember to do all upgrades with in the first 60 days of purchase the Harley only parts are covered .Even under the extended warranty .

duane howard Thanks Duane. As far as the navigation I feel like it's poor quality. You're better off mounting your phone to your bars IMO. It's not that I don't want to black out the mirrors or that I'm against it I just don't want to lose the look of the bike with it being ALL black. I like the chrome contrast. I have not joined the Harley rewards program but I feel like my local dealer treats me right. They let me beat them up on labor on basically every bike I've brought there. They're not your typical "Stealership" lol. I actually did purchase everything within the warranty period when I bought the Stage IV Kit so I'm covered thus far. This includes the black Screamin' Eagle High-Flow Exhaust with Street Cannon Mufflers too. Part # 64800062. They've been on backorder from HD since March.

I have the 2017 Street glide Special ,I like the navigation . It will get you out of traffic jams .It works great if you invest in the hands free headphone and mike set up .With the head phone you can also use it for the radio functions as well as your cell phone . Check out the infotainment system videos on you tube .

Navigation is not nearly as good as a system you would buy at a big box retailer. Basically, this is the problem: By the time it shows you the turn you need to take - you have passed it. It's my only big gripe on my Road Glide.

through my eyes 😂 I just looked and it was $525 and some change. Yes overpriced by almost $200.00 but it's Harley and it's a perfect paint match. When I first purchased the bike I bought that and the King Tour-Pak right out of the gate. In the end I got what I wanted and can probably get another buck fifty for the stock fender to help offset getting ripped off.

I listened to this entire story about someone talking about their bike waiting to hear any difference in the engine. Nothing. The bike was never even started. I wonder if its ever even ridden. This was terrible. The bike is nice but I really do not want to listen to someone talk about their bike and how much they have done to it. If I spent as much time talking and looking at my bike, it would never be ridden. Terrible video. He needs to put that thing back in his garage where it belongs.

Gerald S. Lepre, Jr., ASB, Freelance and Contract Paralegal 8:40 I stated that these were DYNO numbers with the stock exhaust bud. If you had a bike or knew about Harley’s you would have seen that in the video and noticed it without being told. If you knew about Harley’s you would know that a 107 to 114 upgrade is going to be noticed as you twist your wrist not by your ears. The exhaust/engine sounds after the upgrade we’re barely noticeable. I do appreciate you sticking it out and watching the video though 🤣. Thank you. Just an FYI I did put on new exhaust and mufflers and made a video 2 years ago with updated Dyno numbers. Please enjoy.
