In this video I show the process of taking my Softail Standards 107" Milwaukee Eight to a Stage IV 128! This bike was fun before but absolutely rips now! I am VERY impressed with the dyno numbers to say the least.

I did the SE Stage IV on my ‘19 FXLR going from 107 t0 128. Worth every penny. It is a night and day difference in power and torque. The 107 is fine but I just couldn’t resist this upgrade to 128. It easily gets around 40 mpg.

I have a 128 SE kit on my street Bob it’s probly the greatest thing I have ever ridden wayyyy too much for the normal rider but when you want it to go it does, it takes a special breed of riders to do it and actually ride it properly the way it’s intended, good tires and full suspension makes for a killer ride trust me

Ya quick way to puss u off when u go down the road and there is grass everywhere just left there, it takes just a extra minute to make a run or 2 and bliw it off the road....sadly most ppl either don't care or think about others possibly being in danger over it.....nice clip..I have the 2020 standard myself and plan to have this done.

Good info, I went with just the S&S 475 and the Screamin Eagle oil pump and mount on my FLFBS. Timm’s did mine. I have a 5 gallon tank and my mileage was less but it was running a little too rich and Bryan at V&H tweaked my map and sent it back and It runs great, sounds great and is getting around 48mpg when ridden sane is how I normally ride being 65 years old. Plus I have the wife sometimes with me and we take shorts trips and I couldn’t deal with 25mpg. If someone is doing it to be fast someone once told me years ago “There will always be somebody out there faster” so I for one found that out decades ago and never try and go the lets be the fastest route 😏. One point on those that try and drop the idle down really low on a M8 should be careful since you can starve the engine of oil getting to the needed areas. I think the recommended idle is 900 to 950?

Nice! It's a little more expensive down here. Closer to10k for the 131 and 15k for the 135 otd with additional parts and dyno time. At those prices I'd rather throw a cam in my RG 107 and pick up a 2nd "play" bike.

All stock cam chest. Starting in 2020 HD was on the 4th version of the oil pump so it's not bad. If I wasn't building another bike at the same time and spending money on it I would have done the full S&S kit.

I love the build man! Looks awesome!! Is there a way to get chrome on all the polished aluminum parts? How? I want this bike but I'm considering just dropping more coin to get the Breakout considering it has everything I want already just need a few bolt ons and detachables like bags and windshield for trips. I'm really on a chrome tip lately, I just want chrome with the black backdrop. Breakout looks so good with the chrome on 2024 model and has the 117 engine, cruise control, abs, traction control, usb port, heavy breather, 240 rear 21 inch 130 front......so alot more of what I want straight from factory! I'm concerned about the Softail Standard feeling too similar to the Sportsters and not the new Sportsters but like the Iron and 48. I love my Iron so much but I want bigger, wider, longer and badder not the same 150 rear 100 front compact little bike. Breakout has the whole package I'm looking for but so expensive at $22k but after adding alot of things I want to Softail standard it comes put to about the same price as Breakout but still missing alot of what I want like bigger tires, cruise, TCS etc. OK I think I just realized the Breakout is clearly the bike I want so I need to just go for it. 😂

If it's in your budget it's never a bad idea. 20' models and up have the 4th gen oil pump which has proven to be pretty solid so you should be okay. It's fine as long as the engine has had proper heat cycles.
