I have the same thing. But my LED headlight & passing lights came from HogWorkz very bright. For my 2017 Harley Davidson RoadKing. Laguna Orange in color.

Finally someone put a video out for a 17 Road King. I bought the same lights but could not get a definite answer on if the headlight pigtail would work so i returned them. Time order them again

Yeah, I had the same problem, not many videos on this type of install. Besides the PITA part about making sure the plugs are going the right direction the install went pretty easy. No problems with getting things to fit as other people have had. Go with the better quality CD adapter and you should be G2G. 👍

Some things take a little more effort, but you can put literally any light onto any bike. You just have to not be afraid to try =)

I just started this project and almost done. Problem I'm having is the headlight is in high beam setting no matter what position the switch is in. The passing lamps go off when they're supposed to with the high beam switch on. I've tried reversing the connections and not doing what's supposed to do.

What turn signal lights are those
@timothyohara62565 жыл бұрын
Instructions I read one time installing a Road King headlight said, "reverse the polarity if the light does not come on". Meaning switch the connector around and don't panic. Lol Thanks for making the video. There are not a lot of videos for us. I have a 2017 FLHR also. The Road King is named accurately. It's a great ride. Still very much a motorcycle instead of a couch on 2 wheels. Maneuvers well in mountain passes or parking lots. My biggest gripe is how HD puts such pathetic lights in its "King". You have to buy a 'special' Road King to get LED lighting. All their love goes into the ultras, street and road glides. Leaving this man's machine with dim vision. I have tried 2 different Chinese knockoffs. Both failed. One didn't work out of the box. I currently have replaced the halogen bulbs with LED ones. And got about 6 months out of them. My low beam bulb burned out yesterday. Making me start searching again. I should have gotten all probeam stuff to begin with. Thanks again.

I've been lucky with this headlight/passing light setup. They have worked out great for me for over a year and (knock on wood) have given me zero issue. I thought about going the bulb route too (because I like the stock headlight look) but ended up giving this a shot. I'm glad I did and fingers cross they will continue to perform. I'm glad you liked the video and I hope to put out some more "how-to" content as I continue my modding journey. The RK is one bad a$$ ride and I'm still surprised how well it handles in the twisties. So far, still loving the Silver Bullet! Thanks for watching!

Glad to see some guys who are as passionate about the RK as I am. Just got a 2019 RK standard. Vivid Black. Basic bitch touring MOTORCYCLE just waiting for me to make it my own. Got some fangs on since I’ve actually been using the windshield lately when I’m gonna be on the hwy a lot.. they’re really great to cut the buffeting (damn windshield height is even with the middle of my eyes 🤦♂️).. Bike came with some Cobra pipes but they suck. I ordered some TABs 4” zombie baffles bc the M8 107 sounds straight pathetic compared to my last ride (2010 FB Lo .. worlds cheapest V&H slips ons.. sounded sooo fkn good. I’d twist that loud handle every chance I got just to hear it roar.. didn’t go any faster But sounded amazing.. those twin cams .. if I coulda found a 2016 103 Twin Cam RK standard.. close to stock. Low miles .. I’d have gone for that. We all know a well maintained twin cam will run for 150-200k miles. Regarding the M8.. too bad they engineered a lot of the sound we all love and grew up knowing.. even with TABs or SVT bone shakers it’s not gonna ever sound just right. Anyway.. the “new” touring chassis is soooo good (only touring HD I’ve ever ridden so I can’t compare it but I can compare to my 2010 FB and this thing rides like a dream.. I can’t believe how nimble and balanced it is. It dips into turns so willingly thst it took me by suprise a few times. Not a fan of the digi-throttle and hydraulic clutch. Gonna do one of those softbrake clutch lever swaps. I don’t have huge hands so having the super important friction zone damn near 80% open isn’t ideal for me. To wrap up this pointless novella.. it is named accurately as u put it.. the king 👑 of the road. It has a commanding riding position and look. Super classic.. will never look dated. A great all around bike.. just as good for short errands and medium length hwy commutes to work or riding for entire tank without stopping due to back issues etc. it’s the most comfy seat in my house lol. And the car seems so harsh to drive now. Cheers 🍻 m8.. pun intended.

Nothing wrong with aftermarket just as long as their top notch. I advise everyone in my club to get LED Headights & passing lamps from Truckmall on amazon. They seem to be brighter than the Harley-Davidson brand made for them by J.W. speaker.

Good video! What was your long term opinion on these lights? Did they hold up on the Bullet? Fog or flicker? Thanks!
@IronCrossRacing5 жыл бұрын
Well I've had these lights on for a year and I must say they were such a great investment! No flickering, no fogging, no burned out blubs, just bright white light that you can see for days! I swear I see the reflection from the lights in the daytime on stop signs it's that bright. I couldn't be more happy with these lights and this install. Now bear in mind that I garage my bike and make sure to take great care of the plastic lens but besides that they have held up well to numerous washings, rain storms and miles of riding! Thanks for watching!

I've been pleasantly surprised how well these lights are holding up. I've had zero issues with then, no flickering, burned out lights, hazing, scratching, just bright a$$ headlights! I was looking at those too but since I was doing a bunch of upgrades at the same time I decided to go a cheap and see how they'd do. So far (knock on wood) they are holding up pretty great! We'll give it a few more months and see how they are working out then.
