Thanks for the video, they make this a real pain. What a terrible design flaw by Honda to not make it replaceable like the rest of the headlamps.

Wouldn't it make sense to replace both headlight assemblies ? if one went bad it's just a question of time before the other one goes too resulting in a come back, double the work and time wasted. Oh now I get it. Honda's warranty is only 10 years on the headlight so replace the bad headlight now and hope the other one will last long enough to go out of warranty and then charge the customer to pay for the other headlight. Just one last thing, this dealership only replaced one headlight whereas other dealerships replace both headlights regardless if only one is bad. That is what i call customer service.

When I took mine in I was planning to ask about this but I didn't even have to, the service advisor came back and told me they were ordering the parts and would replace both even though only one side had failed. However I've heard other people say their dealers refused because it would require them to "lie" about the part having failed. I guess it depends on the dealer. For what it's worth, I purchased the car from that dealer and always serviced it there so maybe they were more inclined to keep me happy, which they did lol.

@@glanzera I'm glad that your dealer was considered. This makes sense because you'll have a positive experience to purchase another Honda in the future. In my case I've purchased 4 Honda's from them and didn't qualify for the headlamp replacement. Furthermore when I contacted Honda Canada they also refused to replace the headlamp telling me that the entire Led strip had to be out and not only part of it. Yay Honda!

@jimsmith4412 don't give up, they know it's a defect. My dealer was basically like "what took you so long" lol. Idk if the Canada TSB is different but come out to Colorado they got you haha ;)

@@glanzera Thanks I appreciate it. I think I'm going to write Honda Canada again reminding them that I've purchased 4 brand new Accords in the past years and they need to respect me a bit better than red tape.

The headlight assembly has a built in led strip so yes

Led sappoae to last long time and mine gavecout after 4 years and why is the bumper removed its not nessarry

Some of the bolts for the headlight mounting bracket are behind the bumper cover, it has to be removed. Most cars built in the last 30 years are designed like this l.

These fall under a warranty extention, so it is free for the customer but Honda pays me

It should be covered as long as it hasn’t been done before. And I believe it has to be under 100k but yes any Honda. You can call and a service advisor can explain much better than I can. They also can tell you if you are eligible for the repair

@@dellkickass I would call a Honda dealership, tell them whats happening and have them run a VIN inquery on your car with the vin number. They can tell you if it is still eligible or not. If not yoy would be responsible for paying for the prts and repair
