I prefer the hatch over the coupe and 4dr by far. The hatch has alot of great add ons that make it unique. This car really did it for me in person and I put a order in for a red sport touring. The "young" side of me wishes it was a 2dr tiny hatch of old, but the older me needs the 4dr, and room. This car is made for people like me, someone that wants a old school Honda fun but with the practicality

Nice review, Car Gurus! You did a great job presenting the 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback, Keith! I love how you kept the video very relatable, and entertaining. While still keeping it fairly concise! I recently reviewed a 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback EX and Honda Civic Sedan EX-T. I greatly appreciated both vehicles, but I was always reminded of how much I really liked the Hatchback variant! Even though the exterior isn't as well proportioned, I just loved the extra practicality, space and the very sporty vibe that you do get with the hatchback!Fuel economy is also mind blowing, especially when compared to its competition! Keep up the great work! ;-) -DriveAndBeDriven "The Quest To Record The Best!"

I like it but they really overdid it with the spoilers and racing fenders in the rear.

I really can't pick between the mazda3 or civic hatch. I need some help deciding if I should give up a few features the civic misses such as blind spot monitoring, heated steering wheel and homelink and go for the extra room found in the civic.

In Canada in 2016 I think, the Civic won an award for car of the year. It must be me that driving a car with tail lights placed like that would result in only driving at night.

Sad that Civic hatchbacks with manuals only come with the base stereo. To get the upgraded stereo you have to upgrade the trim and lose the manual transmission.

xuimod I’m planning to go aftermarket with mine.

Honda's decision to go with center mount exhaust in Sport and Sport-T trims (and upcoming Si and Type R) is a mistake. It eliminates the option to install an after market hitch to carry bikes/light towing. Many Civic buyers fall into the "active lifestyle demographic" and appreciate versatility in their fun to drive cars.

Then you should buy the LX, EX, or EX-L.

Towing is not recommended with the Civic. And rear bike racks are a real danger as they hide the taillights when in use. Use a roof rack!

with a hatch he doesn't even need a rack

And they don't mention they stripped EVERY last Civic model of a CD player. Unacceptable. Now a CD player is becoming listed as a "highlighted feature" on many spec lists.

I would try to special order a fully loaded sport touring with 6 speed manual and leather seats. If not, I'd walk away because I special ordered a fully loaded 2006 HHR 5 speed manual with leather, with no problem!

My wife drives one. It's available in Canada. It is a Lovely car - the only North American Civic model where both a 6MT and the Honda Sensing suite coexist. And in Canada, only the Civic DX sedan uses that LCD gauge cluster and center infotainment system - All other Civics have the TFT cluster, the 7" center screen, as well as Android Auto / Apple CarPlay

Appears to be a really good car & should bode well for Honda. Civic Hatchback has some real tacky bits, especially in the back - looks like a car trying desperately to regain some street cred.

I know styling is subjective BUT in the quest for distinctiveness Honda has made a vehicle that is ugly both coming and going especially the rear end. How did this abomination get past the concept stage? Were they trying to imitate the Velostar in the rear end?
