Thank you so much! Saved my day with my daughters CRV.. we had battery replaced after all lights flashed. Lights disappeared.. but today alarms came back.. tried multiple rebooting but still alarms flashing in display. Remove battery connections, then reboot, still.. Then finally drove it heading to the mechanic around 100ft from my driveway, and flash alarms disappeared. What a day!

Yeah I did this so many ways as long as you go over the recommended 12mph, stop, shut down it will reset.

Bless you fishycomics. I just had my battery replaced by AAA. They told me to keep the car running for 15 minutes and everything would reset. Well, it didn't. When I called them back, they said I should take it to the dealership (my worst nightmare) for a reset. Thank you! I had to replace the battery on 2017 CR-V, got the flood of system failure messages. Your solution worked, although I had to take a short drive twice. (My guess is that I was too gentle the first time; the second time, I was p'ed off, went faster, and came to a hard stop.) "Unreal" is right. The programmers of the electronics wrote an application that will only reboot if the user/driver ignores the warnings. I mean, seriously, even hobby drones have a "reset" button. Honda should have never let this shoddy software pass QA and go into production. Oh, btw, when I was looking for a solution, I came across Honda's "parasitic battery drain" problems, which might explain why my battery suddenly died... no warning lights the day before. Battery management is a difficult engineering problem.

My gas mileage indicator was severely off and I ran out of gas causing all of these same lights to come on. Couldn't get them reset. Removed my negative battery cable for 5 minutes. After replacing and driving less than a quarter of a mile all warning lights were reset...BINGO. Thank you!!!

Yes just had to change 2017 crv exl battery at exactly 36 months from purchase was dead wouldnt even charge or recondition to 12 volts max of 11.5 after all night charging. swapped and had all these error codes drove it for 2 mins and everything cleared would not clear until i drove it as it set idling for 10 mins.

Honda's manual just says "Go to a dealer". It has less information about the car battery than it has about the little cell battery in the fob.

Everyone check the water level in your battery. My 2017 CRV EX-L had a dead battery die while my son played soccer for about 2 hours. It was about 17K miles at the time. AAA tried to push a battery exchange on the spot but I let it run and charge up. When I got home, I popped the battery covers and saw the water level was about 1/4 low on all the cells. I refilled them with distilled water and haven't had a problem since. Honda battery was not covered under warranty, as stated in the owners manual. Dealer will prorate if you buy it from the dealer.

People see a Maintenance free battery, and that to them is, once its shot they want a new battery. Peal the Sticker, used a flat screw driver or large phillips and refill with distilled, you got that right even add electrolytes in., The people love to get taken for the ride?

Had a bad battery in a 2018 CR-V this morning. AAA gave me a boost and checked the system. Old battery was still in warranty but I didn't want to chance the vehicle stopping on the way to the dealer and having to wait for another boost. I think the battery didn't last because our CR-V is used almost exclusively in town and not enough time on the road that give the battery a better charge. Changed the battery with a AAA battery and all the error messages appeared. I drove around the block and everything seems to have reset. Its good that I didn't try to change the battery because I would have needed a source of battery power while changing the battery. also glad that the new battery was reasonably priced and better than the original equipment battery.

Hey man have been viewing a few of your other videos to see if you had anymore of these problems? Just bought a 2018 brand new in beginning of July. I had the issue just after I hit 1k miles cruising at 70 mph taking full advantage of Honda sensing. All the lane keep assist, ACC and brake had a problem the info tab told me. Kept driving for about 8 mins without cruise control on and it all went away. Has been a week so far and only had the problem once. The dealership acted as if I was the first person to contact them about it! You gotcha a new sub!

My 2019 Honda CRV has had a dead battery twice now. Once when all windows were left open all day to air out some fumes. Another time the TPMS was activated for a couple of days, did not know how to reset it at the time. Battery completely died. Both times just jump started car, everything reset and all was okay. There is a serious battery drain issue on these newer CRV's. My dad's CRV needs a jump start every couple weeks. Now it has all the same lights. Even if you drive and get rid of the lights, the battery will probably drain again. Some of suggested it has to do with the handsfreelink or bluetooth. But no one is sure? Does everyone here with a CRV have the same battery drain issues?

Yep, this is my third time. Battery will drain if sits more than 3-4 days. The quarantine brought this to my attention. Had AAA to jump 3 times, Diagnositics says battery is good. I am upset. At dealership now, this is BS. There seems to be many problems with dead batteries on Honda CRV. Purchased this new in 2017, I drive very little, it now has perhaps 14,000 miles on it. I need a reliable car. This is my first priority. I don’t have a good impression of Honda and will never buy another one. Should have stuck with Toyota.

Ok had same issues, recharge battery, followed bonda owner’s manual, on 1.5 L turbo, followed directions to clear and recalibrate , after making sure tire pressures were good. Change oil and reset. Changed transmission fluid. Lights kept coming on. Had les schwab rotate tire, they reset , all appears to be good. Why I was not able to reset puzzle me, directions were simple

This is from revised owners manual: The indicators for the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low Speed Follow (LSF)*, Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) System*, Electric Power Steering (EPS) system, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA®) system, VSA® OFF, Collision Mitigation Braking SystemTM (CMBSTM)*, and low tire pressure/Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)* may come on when you turn the ignition switch to ON (w*1 after re- connecting the battery. Drive a short distance at 12 mph (20 km/h). The indicator should go off. If it does not, have your vehicle checked by a dealer.

See like I said it's not a battery issue otherwise the car wouldn't turn on! It's a software/computer issue. Especially after you reset it by disconnecting the battery and they go away and car drives fine.

@@AppliciousDior when safe and sound at home and only with the radio security code at hand, B/c if too long a disconnect you will be asked to replace the codes: you can disconnect the battery terminals, allow time, touch both leads only together, place back on, see if cleared, and again just go above 12mph. for a few seconds. If you continue to have the malfunction, it can be the battery was weak, and or another issue that may require service. Since you just driven, that means the car is "Fine"

2004 Honda CR-V and when I take my car on for an oil change etc. for some reason they test / maybe reset the battery. Every time I’d turn on the air conditioner the emergency brake light would come on. Now my car is stuck in park after getting tail lights fixed. Honda’s get confusion easily. Just drive it off.

@@timwalker8553 turn the car on without starting the engine, count to 10, turn it off. repeat that 3 times. Then wait 30 seconds and start the car fully. This is what worked for us. I hope it helps you.

When I was visiting my brother in the hospital the alarm went off a few minutes after I entered the building. The EXTREMELY frustrating thing was the car locked itself. Somehow I was able to stop the alarm or maybe it timed out. The fab had a new battery in it but the battery in the car was old. The worst part was that the actual key would NOT open the door. WTF Today I tried to put a new battery in it but then the horn won’t stop. I WILL NEVER BUY A HONDA AGAIN.

Also - one thing to note - I was concerned about replacing the battery because of any potential anti-theft or codes getting wiped out, etc., but after just replacing my batter this morning in my 2017 CR-V EX I can report that that wasn't an issue. Just replace and drive a bit as the video discusses and then everything is good to go.

I have the exact same problem with my honda civic 2017. All the pop up msgs went away as I drove a little. However the honda sensing, cruise control and lane assist is still not working. Is there a work around for this? I went to menu/vehicle and made sure all the controls are selected correctly. Nothing happens when I click on lane assist/cruise control on the steering wheel . Any help is appreciated

I have droven more than 10 miles after these stupid lights were on but they persist to be on. I know nothing else happened to the car and I went to the shop a few weeks ago nothing should be wrong. Do you have any suggestion? Thanks in advance.

Thing is this has happened to me for a while always on and off sometimes for weeks and it always starts off good my battery is fine. You're just starting to see the same issue but in the beginning it's not as often and goes away, but my mechanic checked it and told me my computer was going bad. The battery worked fine otherwise you wouldn't be able to start the car! All the lights come on on my car. I disconnect the battery for a few minutes and yes that resets it but it comes back!! And longer each time. And not just when it's wet out. This is a recall on the works!

this is not a issue I have. but thanks for telling me that you have a issue that is more a problem and needs a technician to fix it. appreciate your comment and issue.report back when its continued and fixed.

@@fishycomics you have the same issue all warning lights come on for no reason. In the beginning they don't stay on that long. Later on it'll be more frequent and stay on longer. Same thing happen to you happen to me. You just probably don't drive that much. I drive alot as for Uber so alot. 80k miles already. So out of warranty and don't trust the dealer and their work but might be only option at this point

Did you every find a solution? Your case sounds the same as mine. I put in a new battery after 3 years and have tried multiple resets but the warnings return after a week or so.
